Helen Hürlimann took over as head of Radio SRF 4 News in July 2016. Under her leadership, Radio SRF 4 News has developed into a digital news station and digital offerings such as podcasts and videos have been expanded. In terms of journalism, she has led the new information program "HeuteMorgen" into a dialogic format. In addition, the proportion of female journalists on the team has risen to 50 percent under her leadership.

"They were exciting and varied years at SRF. Now it's time to hand over the digital development of SRF 4 News to a younger generation," says Hürlimann, explaining her move.

She began her radio career at SRF in 1993 as a trainee at what was then DRS 3. After subsequent activities outside SRF, she returned to SRF in 1994 as a production assistant on "10 vor 10" and then moved to the Zurich Schaffhausen regional editorial office of Radio SRF, where she took over as co-head of the editorial office after two years. This was followed by a move to Bern as producer of "Rendez-vous". After further activities, again outside SRF, she returned to SRF in 2011 and worked as editor/producer at Radio SRF 4 News and as head of service.

The management of Radio SRF 4 News will be reorganized. As SRF writes in a statement, information about the new organization will be provided as soon as it has been determined.
