"Benissimo" and "Wetten, dass..." revivals on SRF in the fall
The entertainment show «Benissimo» with Beni Thurnheer will air again on SRF this fall as a one-time special. Details about the game format will be announced at a later date.
In addition to a reunion with Beni Thurnheer as host, the colored balls, the dance and sketch troupe Friends and "great show acts" would also make an appearance on October 15, 2022, Reto Peritz, head of entertainment at Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (SRF), told the Keystone-SDA news agency on Monday in response to a query.
Swisslos, however, will not be involved. Further information will be announced at a later date. Blick Online had first reported on the comeback.
"Benissimo" ran on SRF from 1992 to 2012. The show was one of the most successful regularly broadcast programs on Swiss television. Since its launch, it has been watched by over 100 million viewers.
Following the great success of the new edition of "Wetten, dass..." in November 2021, SRF audiences will once again be treated to one edition each of the show with host Thomas Gottschalk this year and next. Betting proposals can be submitted now, according to SRF's newsletter on Monday. Information on the venue and a broadcast date are to follow in the coming months. (SDA)
