The realignment includes a stronger focus on the area of destination development. With the election of the new managing director, the course has now been set for the establishment of the new organizational structure, the organization writes in a statement.

Philipp Vassalli wird Managing Director

Philipp Vassalli previously held the position of Managing Director responsible for the Eurobus Group and was previously Managing Director of Welti-Furrer AG, which also belongs to Knecht Holding, for several years. In addition to his licentiate in economics from the University of Zurich and CAS in business engineering, Philipp Vasalli brings strengths to the destination in his many years of management experience, his doer qualities and his strong sales and marketing flair.

The 41-year-old Zurich native currently lives in Kloten, but is already planning a move to Lenzerheide. "I am extremely pleased to become part of the LMS AG team and to be able to contribute to the further development of the destination. It is impressive how the LMS AG team has excellently developed and positioned the vacation region in recent years. Our ambition now, together with all stakeholders, is to further develop Lenzerheide into an even higher quality, more dynamic and more diverse year-round destination - always with its finger on the pulse and often the decisive step ahead," says Vassalli.

The new tourism management organization

With the new organizational structure, LMS has completed the already announced change from a tourism marketing organization to a tourism management organization. In addition to the usual tasks, LMS also wants to focus in the future on topics that go beyond marketing tasks in order to further develop the destination into a lively year-round vacation, living and working destination.

LMS is now focusing on the three business units "Management, Service and Support", "Marketing, Communication and Events" and "Product and Offer Development", each of which is headed by a member of the Executive Board. The Board of Directors of LMS is thus also focusing on teamwork at the management level. "Our employees are specialists who achieve top performance as a team. So it's only logical to rely on a team for management as well. In addition, a management team ensures greater stability and continuity. With Philipp Vassalli as primus inter pares, we can optimally complement the competencies in the management team, both professionally and personally," says Daniel Stiefel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LMS.

Marc Schlüssel will continue to be responsible for "Marketing, Communication and Events" and will remain Deputy Managing Director. His responsibilities include the further development of the existing business areas and all external communication measures, including events. In the future, he also intends to devote more time to the topics of digitalization, innovation, partner management and sustainability. Until Philipp Vassalli takes up his position in June 2022, Marc Schlüssel will take over the management of the company on an interim basis.

The previous Managing Director Bruno Fläcklin will take over the area of "Product and Offer Development". According to of his severe cancer and the intensive regeneration Bruno Fläcklin will continue to make his know-how available on a reduced basis. Together with the local industry and all service providers, needs-oriented, innovative offers are to be developed and successfully placed on the market. "As an innovation driver, we want to set the right development impulses. Courageously and boldly - and yet respectfully and sustainably - we create added value for guests, the population and service providers," says Bruno Fläcklin, explaining LMS's new claim.
