In June 2021, CH Media announced the joint venture between CH Media subsidiary Impuls Pictures and independent market leader Ascot Elite Entertainment/Elite Film (Werbewoche.ch reported). The two partners thus pooled their strengths in film distribution and marketing, with Ascot Elite taking over operations.

The former Co-CEO of Impuls Media Group, Patrick Schaumlechner, left his post at IMG last year, during which time his twin brother Peter Schaumlechner took over as sole CEO. As a board member of the cinema distributors' association FDS and the umbrella organization ProCinema, Peter Schaumlechner championed the interests of the national film industry for many years. After more than 30 years at IMG, he is now stepping down at the end of 2021, but will remain with CH Media in an advisory capacity.
