After eight years as a member of the Board of Directors of SwissMediaCast, half of which as Chairman of the Board, Dani Büchi is no longer standing for re-election, Swiss Media Cast announced on Wednesday. Under his leadership, the utilization of all DAB+ layers had been continuously improved. He also initiated the restructuring of the shareholder structure with the aim of giving Swiss Media Cast an even broader base in the radio scene. This project was successfully completed in mid-2019. A new concession for Ticino allowed the construction of a DAB+ network in Italian-speaking Switzerland in 2020.

The new Board of Directors Pascal Frei, CEO of the Energy Group, was elected unanimously at the General Meeting. With his many years of experience in the radio industry, he will competently strengthen the Board of Directors, according to the statement.
