Nicoletta Cimmino leaves SRF
Nicoletta Cimmino, presenter of the radio program "Echo der Zeit," is leaving SRF at the end of May. She wants to strike out on new paths once again and is setting up her own business.
Cimmino has been working at Radio SRF since 2004. First as TAV producer at SRF 1, then in the newsroom at "Info3," "Heute Morgen," and in Radio SRF's domestic newsroom in Bern. For the last five years she hosted the program "Echo der Zeit". From the industry magazine Swiss journalist:in she was named "Journalist of the Year" in 2019 (Werbewoche.ch reported).
Step into independence
Now Nicoletta Cimmino is leaving SRF at the end of May. She is founding her own company and in the future will work as an author, produce podcasts and moderate events and panel discussions. "Leaving SRF was not easy for me. I will especially miss my dear colleagues in the 'Echo' editorial team. However, at 47 years of age and with a great deal of journalistic experience, the time is right for me to pursue new paths," says Nicoletta Cimmino, explaining her decision.
