Cyberattacks on TX Group
The TX Group has become a target for hackers: Since Sunday, the TX Group—along with its subsidiaries Tamedia, 20 Minuten, Goldbach, and TX Markets—has been the target of large-scale cyberattacks.
According to the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) Melani, such attacks may continue, as the company writes in a statement on Wednesday. Therefore, it could not be ruled out that there may be isolated interruptions and delays again. The majority of IT services were not or only partially affected due to scalable and secure cloud infrastructures. Nevertheless, the responsible parties will monitor the situation closely and continuously adapt the defensive measures, the statement continues.
The attacks were known as DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks. These are aimed at disrupting the availability of computer systems and paralyzing Internet connections and websites. The attacks are carried out from many distributed computers. In addition to TX Group, its Internet providers and other Swiss companies were also affected.
