The regional online portals will be produced by a convergent editorial team of radio, TV and online journalists. ArgoviaToday is set to launch in summer 2021 and will inform and entertain the "Aargau region", as CH Media announced on Friday.

Since the launch of the Today platforms in Eastern and Central Switzerland, FM1Today and PilatusToday, there has been an increasing demand for regional and local news, the press release continued. "With ArgoviaToday, we want to continue the success story and offer the Argovia region a new news portal", Florian Wanner, Head of Radio CH Media, is quoted as saying in the press release.

CH Media is a merger of the NZZ Media Group and AZ Medien. The media company owns, among others Aargauer newspaper, Lucerne Newspaper as well as the TV stations Tele M1, Tele Bärn, Tele Züri and TV 3+. The CH Media radio group includes Radio Argovia, Radio 24, Radio Pilatus, Radio 32 and soon Radio Bern1. (SDA)
