Das Zelt TV show with virtual audience wins top BCMA award
Honoring heroes and helpers during the COVID-19 crisis: That was the goal of «Wir sagen Danke» — a TV show in which artists and hosts interacted with a virtual audience. The show was recorded last June and aired on TV24. The BCMA (Branded Content Marketing Association) took notice of this innovative project and has now honored it with the «Best in Class» award.

During the lockdown in spring 2020, when life came to a virtual standstill and Das Zelt had to shut down completely, the idea was developed to record a show in front of a virtual audience. Together with Aperçus, a German communications agency, and Cisco Webex, which provided the necessary video conferencing software for the audience video wall, the project was implemented with the media company CH Media, which was responsible for the TV broadcast. With an audience of 119,000 viewers, the expectations of the creators were far exceeded.
This creative brand integration of the Cisco video wall caught the eye of the BCMA (Branded Content Marketing Association). The BCMA is a global association of agencies, marketers and companies headquartered in London and represented in various countries. BCMA has organized globally under the title Global Lockdown Content Showcase looked for campaigns that stood out for their creativity, ingenuity and sustainability in these challenging times. Only campaigns that have created added value for the audience by either entertaining, informing, educating or inspiring were recognized. Ideally, several criteria are met at the same time.
In the D-A-CH region, BCMA members voted online for "We say thank you" alongside "VW Heldenkader" with Jogi Löw and Puls4 "Road to digital Austria" with the attribute Best in Class excellent.
Adrian Steiner, CEO and Director of DAS ZELT, is delighted with the award: "Together with our partners and my team, we are extremely pleased about the international broadcast of "Wir sagen Danke". It honors us that we were able to set the tone in these difficult times and encourages us to develop further TV formats."
