TX Group sells Olmero to Swedish Byggfakta Group

TX Group has sold Olmero, a company specializing in digital construction project management, to a Swedish buyer. The buyer is the Stockholm-based Byggfakta Group, which provides business intelligence and data analytics services. The sale price was not disclosed.

Following a strategy review and focus on three investment areas (consumer fintech, productivity, digital entertainment), it was concluded that TX Group was no longer the perfect owner for Olmero, Samuel Hügli, head of technology & ventures at TX Group, was quoted as saying in a statement Monday.

On Friday, TX Group already announced the divestment of the shares in the Danish Trendsales. The second-hand fashion platform caused TX Group an unscheduled write-down of around CHF 18 million.

Olmero was created as an ETH spinoff for the digitization of the construction industry and, according to the company, mediates construction volumes on the Olmero platforms of around CHF 5 billion per year.

The Byggfakta Group employs around 600 people in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Spain, according to the statement. (SDA)
