Every third bird species in Finland is threatened with extinction. Small birds in particular have difficulty finding breeding sites and raising their offspring. Nord DDB Helsinki and McDonald's Finland have implemented the Happy Meal Bird Box campaign to support nature. With this, Nord DDB's Finnish branch continues the nature conservation movement that the Norwegian and Swedish branches already started together with McDonald's in 2019. At that time Bee hotels in the form of tiny McDonald's branches built, as well as Billboards converted into bee hotels.

A total of 1400 Happy Meal-style birdhouses are now to be installed in Finnish forests. Families who buy Happy Meals in the fast food chain's restaurants receive a do-it-yourself kit with which they can build the cute little houses with the tiny holes themselves.
