Drive-in festival in Zurich

Context-based advertising can sometimes be a tricky business. This was once again evident in the case of the reckless driving spree at Zurich’s Sihlfeld Cemetery.

On 27 and 28 June in Härkingen the first Drive-In Festival of Switzerland took place. Generali, Planzer, the Hangar Ent. Group and the musician Bligg have joined forces and within weeks have put together a festival where visitors arrive in their cars and stay in their cars. Like drive-in cinema, but with live bands.

We became aware of the event when a corresponding banner was displayed on Blick.ch - in the article on the Run amokA previously unknown driver drove a stolen Audi into Zurich's Sihlfeld cemetery, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. In addition to numerous passers-by, some of whom were only just able to get to safety and escaped with a shock.

That's not what I meant by the drive-in. And probably not with the intended advertising environment either. But at least we have now heard about the upcoming Autoplausch.
