A novelty in the environment of communication associations: With the resolution of its general meeting on Thursday, the Content Marketing Forum e.V. (CMF) is now also opening up to the previous clients of its members, i.e. to companies that operate content marketing independently, and is accepting them as members of the association alongside agencies, publishers and service providers. This is one of the key points of a program with which the newly elected board team around Olaf Wolff, Executive Client Partner at Saatchi&Saatchi, wants to lead the association into the future.

"For some years now, we have been observing how professionally and comprehensively content marketing teams are set up in companies and positioned as strategic units of the communications departments," says Wolff. "We want to map content marketing along the entire value chain. It is a logical step for us to open up to companies in this sense."

Changes in the Executive Board

The previous chairman of the CMF, Andreas Siefke (PRH Hamburg), is not standing for re-election after 13 years of successful board work, ten of them as chairman, as are his deputy Christian Fill (Profilwerkstatt) and board members Holger Koenig (Koenigsfilm) and Karsten Krämer (C3). "It was a great time, but we think it's good to shuffle everything around," Siefke explains. "It was important for us to leave behind an orderly house that is well positioned organizationally and strategically. And that is certainly the case. Our thanks go to all members, companions, partners and sponsors, and of course to the board members who continue to be active and especially to the team in the office."

Kaczynski re-elected for Switzerland

Dr. Daniel Kaczynski (Swisscontent) was re-elected as board member for Switzerland. In addition to Wolff as chairman and Kaczynski for Switzerland, the new CMF board team consists of Peter Matz (Strichpunkt agency) as the new vice chairman and Stefan Fehm (C3) as the first assessor. Chris Höfner (HoCaX) was confirmed in her board mandate, as was the re-elected board member from Austria, Martin Distl (GroupM).

Focus on excellence

As one of its key tasks, the new board team has enshrined the expansion of services for members in its program for the next few years. "It's important to us to provide value to our members and support them in the industry environment," says Kaczynski.

The topic of excellence in content marketing is to be another cornerstone of the content: "We want to make the professional quality and expertise of our members even more visible to the outside world," explains Kaczynski. "With our broad spectrum of members, we are the experts in content marketing and will also position ourselves accordingly in the professional discourse."
