Freiburg News introduces short-time work
Like other media companies, the Freiburger Nachrichten is implementing short-time work due to the coronavirus crisis. The board of directors cites the loss of advertising revenue caused by the coronavirus crisis as the reason for the measure.

Already in the next twelve months, the previous advertising revenues of around six million Swiss francs per year are likely to "decline massively", as the company writes in a statement on Friday. The outlook for the following years is no better.
For the Board of Directors, cost-cutting measures for the newspapers are therefore urgently needed "without delay". Freiburg News, The Murten bidder and Kerzers scoreboard on. The company has therefore submitted an application for the introduction of short-time working.
At the beginning of April, some of the staff will now go on short-time working, either in full or in part. (SDA)
