Bandara develops web experience for "Living in Basel
The real estate study «Living in Basel» by Basler Kantonalbank can now be experienced interactively: Bandara has developed a web experience that displays statistics on a 3D map of the city of Basel.
Where in Basel is home ownership currently most in demand? How are rental costs developing in the individual districts? And is the city making progress with densification? Every year, the Basler Kantonalbank presents the most important facts and figures on the Basel real estate market. For the latest edition of "Wohnen in Basel" (Living in Basel), Bandara was commissioned to develop a web experience that brings data to life in an innovative way.
Bkb.ch/living includes a three-dimensional map of the city of Basel, on which Basel residents may even find their own home. Users can choose between six different values such as rental prices, living space or price indices for residential property and compare current with historical data via a time axis. In line with the selected value, the individual city districts are colored more or less strongly.
The 3D website has been implemented for both desktop devices and smartphones and is designed in such a way that it can be supplemented with additional data in the future.
