Kylie Minogue sings the British to Australia
Pop icon Kylie Minogue is sending musical holiday greetings to the United Kingdom on behalf of Tourism Australia.

Everyone is talking about Australia at the moment, especially because of the devastating bushfires. 5.5 million hectares of land have already burned - more than the entire area of Switzerland. 500 million (!) animals and 22 people are said to have already fallen victim to the fires.
Nevertheless, at the beginning of the year, the popular travel destination in Great Britain is vigorously promoting itself in order to have a say in the upcoming vacation planning. The "Matesong" by the 51-year-old Brit of choice Kylie Minogue is a three-minute humorous homage to her actual home country of Australia.
Update 06.01.19: According to Dailymail.co.uk the $15 million campaign was halted for the time being due to the precarious situation.
The music video is the Australian Tourist Board's most expensive investment in the UK in over a decade and celebrates the many similarities that have always linked the two countries. Among other things, the spot was placed to coincide with the Queen's Christmas address. The timing is well-considered, as Phillipa Harrison, Managing Director of Tourism Australia says: "We know that January in the Northern Hemisphere is the time when many Brits long for overseas vacations. We're putting out a reminder that the next trip could be to Australia."
The video shows: There are plenty of reasons for this - apart from the unpopular long journey in times of flight shame.
