New anchors for "Tagesschau," "10vor10" and "Schweiz aktuell
Starting in spring 2020, Andrea Vetsch will take over as anchor of the main edition of «Tagesschau,» Bigna Silberschmidt will join the «10vor10» anchor team at that time, and Oceana Galmarini will move from RTR to «Schweiz aktuell.» This reshuffling of the news anchors stems from Katja Stauber’s move behind the camera.

Katja Stauber's successor in the anchor team of the "Tagesschau" main edition is Andrea Vetsch. Now 44, she has worked at SRF since 1999, and was already an editor for "Tagesschau" from 2001 to 2013, anchoring the midday and early evening editions. In 2014, Andrea Vetsch moved to the news magazine "10vor10". She will return to "Tagesschau" in spring 2020. Andrea Vetsch will anchor the main edition at 7:30 p.m., alternating with Cornelia Boesch, Franz Fischlin and Florian Inhauser, and will continue to produce content for SRF's news programs as domestic editor.
Andrea Vetsch will be succeeded on "10vor10" by Bigna Silberschmidt. The 33-year-old joined SRF in 2015, where she has worked as an editor for "Schweiz aktuell" since 2016 and additionally took over as the show's presenter in 2017. In the process, she also repeatedly guided viewers through focus weeks as a live reporter. In 2019, Bigna Silberschmidt also hosted a talk show and a special program on the biodiversity project "Mission B" for SRF. Next spring, she will now join the "10vor10" moderation team with Susanne Wille, Arthur Honegger and Urs Gredig. In addition, Bigna Silberschmidt will continue to work as an editor for the domestic editorial team.
The succession at "Schweiz aktuell" has also already been arranged. Oceana Galmarini is moving from RTR to SRF and joining the "Schweiz aktuell" presenter team with Sabine Dahinden, Katharina Locher, Michael Weinmann and Mario Torriani. Oceana Galmarini has worked as an editor for various radio and television programs at RTR since 2013. From fall 2015 to spring 2018, she also hosted the children's program "Minisguard". After that, the now 26-year-old took over as presenter of the news program "Telesguard," which can also be seen on SRF 1 from Monday to Friday at 5:40 pm. In March 2020, she will now join "Schweiz aktuell" as a presenter.
