Life goes on - at least for most
Amnesty International is dusting off Sabrina's global hit «Boys» in Sweden—with a serious purpose.

The fact that only a small percentage of all reported sexual offenses ultimately lead to a trial is probably the case all over the world. In Sweden, the figure is just 7 percent, according to Amnesty International. The rest are dropped. For lack of evidence or a myriad of other reasons that can lead to an offender finding himself back in his old life rather than in front of a judge. Even if not every alleged perpetrator is guilty - the dark figure of unsolved and unpunished sexual crimes is probably high.
The Stockholm-based agency Reform Act uses Sabrina's 80s cult hit "Boys" to illustrate the fact that for most sex offenders, life goes on as if nothing had happened. And it refers to the fact that 97 percent of all alleged offenders are male - so a minor generalization is definitely in order.
