AZ Medien launches new online presence
AZ Medien launched its new website this week. Christian Scherler was responsible for the concept and design.

Under the guiding principle "Reinventing Media," it says at Azmedien.ch: "For 180 years, we have shown the courage to act, shaping media and communication across all channels".
"The mission statement summarizes the history and aspirations of AZ Medien," explains Michael Wanner, Delegate of the Board of Directors of AZ Medien. "With the new appearance, we want to express the span of AZ Medien from history and tradition to innovative entrepreneurship in permanent change, also visually."
In addition to an overview of the organization, the most important facts and figures, and activities, the new homepage therefore presents the company's history in particular. The story begins over 180 years ago with the founding of the Aargauer Volkszeitung by Josef Zehnder from Birmenstorf in 1836. Later, this becomes the Badener Tagblattwhich was formed in 1996 through the merger with the Aargauer Tagblatt AZ Medien will be created. Finally, the last milestone is the merger of AZ Medien's regional core business with NZZ Regionalmedien to form CH Media.
Since then, the holding company has been majority-owned by the Wanner publishing family, which holds 50 percent of CH Media and owns the news portal Watson is. Looking to the future, Michael Wanner formulates a clear aspiration: "AZ Medien wants to develop further business areas in the long term.
