I am also a bee hotel

McDonald's continues its commitment to bees in Sweden. The company is now converting billboard spaces into bee hotels.

Protecting bees is the trend. McDonald's - which has been striving for a green image for some time now - recently took the bee course in Sweden and unveiled the world's smallest branch. A McDonald's-look bee house (Werbewoche.ch reported). That was incredibly cute, but still didn't save the world (among other things, because the current problem primarily affects wild bees and not honey bees, which are "managed" by beekeepers). Better are bee hotels, as you can now see them in every second garden in this country. They provide a home for those bees that we are making life difficult for at the same time with overbuilt green spaces and sharpened agricultural areas.

So the Nord DDB agency converted McDonald's billboards into bee hotels. The lettering is made of wood - with holes in which the bees can nest. Sympathetic: On the back - away from the image advertising display window - more insect hotels are hung to make the best use of the available space.
