Lematin.ch presents the new logo and launches an app
Le Matin.ch presents itself with a new logo and outfit. Since Thursday, the third most visited information website in French-speaking Switzerland has been offering a graphically modern and optimized app.

In June 2018, Tamedia announced its intention to publish the French-speaking Swiss newspaper Le Matin only in digital form and to discontinue the print version (Werbewoche.ch reported). This plan was adhered to despite protests and recorded after the end of a consultation phase. In July 2018, the last print edition of the newspaper steeped in history was published -. with a special edition and an obituary on the front page.
In February 2019, Tamedia was pleased with the launch of the digital version of Lematin.ch and reported a record number of visitors - 1.4 million unique clients in January (Werbewoche.ch reported).
The app launched on Thursday is now intended to further promote Lematin.ch. To draw attention to the new launch and anchor LeMatin.ch as a digital news portal, a new orange-and-white logo in a revised font underscores the brand's modern appearance.
Laurent Siebenmann, editor-in-chief of Le Matin.ch, explains the importance of the new look in a statement: "This is an important and very emotional moment, because Le Matin is now adopting a completely digital identity, including the graphic design. We worked for several months on the new look and visual identity. It was important for me to follow the story of Le Matin graphically faithful, but to equip the brand for the future." (hae/pd)
