Rod celebrates the 20th birthday of 20 Minuten with an image campaign

Straightforward, at eye level with readers and with a consistent focus on the "now" - this is the recipe for the success story of 20 minutes. What began in December 1999 with a free newspaper has led to the country's widest-reach media brand, with around 2.9 million daily users in print and online.

Proximity to the readership and its zeitgeist form the core of the new 20 minutes-campaign. It stands for the rapid changes of today and is intended to show that the "now" - no matter what it may look like at the moment - is with 20 minutes unadulterated. Because the transgender movement is reported on 20 Minuten just as neutrally as the eleventh AHV revision or the festival summer. In addition to the print ads, online banners and posters, the TV & cinema / online spot is likely to cause a stir. The implementation in the style of a poetry slam delivers an amusing composition of charged topics and was realized by the lead agency Rod Kommunikation in collaboration with director Zoran Bihać, who is known among other things for his daring video clips for the German rock band Rammstein.

Following the launch of the new image campaign, the anniversary celebrations will begin in German-speaking Switzerland. The first event will be an exclusive series of concerts featuring well-known Swiss artists in Zurich, Berne, Basel, Lucerne and St. Gallen. Instead of performing in an event location, the musicians will perform where commuters travel: on the bus, in the streetcar or on the boat. The highlight of the anniversary will be a big party with international music stars in November. The live communications agency Standing Ovation was entrusted with the implementation.
