Celebrations should be celebrated as they fall. And if chance wills it, one may fall back on the help of a rocking old star. In the "Summer of 69", not only did Bryan Adams buy his first real guitar ("I got my first real six string, bought it at the Five and Dime"), but DHL also saw the light of day. Today's subsidiary of Deutsche Post was founded in 1969 in San Francisco by Adrian Dalsey, larry Hillblom and Robert Lynn was founded and owes its name to its first letter. The 50th anniversary is therefore coming up in 2019. Who would be better suited for the occasion than Canadian pop-rock star Bryan Adams, who probably had his biggest hit with "Summer of 69"?

U.S. agency 180 Kingsday brought the two worlds together in a no-frills spot that sends Adams' guitar on a big DHL tour.

Note on the side: The song lyrics are a pure invention of Adams and have no autobiographical background. According to the lyrics explanation page Genius.com the Canadian bought his first guitar in 1972 - and not in a five-and-dime store, but in a pawnshop.
