When the baby becomes a discount coupon
Exhausted parents in the U.S. have something to look forward to: Thanks to their baby, they can get a discount on a new mattress.
Babies are all well and good, but they don't usually provide "a good, healthy night's sleep" à la Bico. The right mattress can help. It may not make you sleep longer, but it will make you sleep better. The US manufacturer Serta is therefore taking part in a current promotion is targeting young parents and offering up to 300 dollars off mattresses. All you have to do is take your baby with you when you buy your new sleeping pad.
The refreshing campaign was developed by the Leo Burnett Chicago agency. The promotion runs until May 20, 2019, and as it could presumably be perceived as discriminatory towards all people who are unable to have children or do not have a baby to hand for other reasons, the small print states that the interpretation of the term "baby" is at the customer's discretion. And so it stands for everything that could rob you of your sleep, including husbands, teenagers, pets or wallets: "Your Baby is at your discretion and includes newborns, toddlers, teenagers, husbands, favorite pets, favorite purses, etc." Good night!
