The thing with the bees and the flowers
Coop is launching its new «Bee Happy» collectible campaign. Not particularly happy: the advertising environment on 20Minuten.ch

"Bee Happy" is the name of Coop's new "Märkli" promotion. For every 10 franc purchase, you will receive a Märkli, and a seed ball bag for the full collection card. The seed balls can be used to grow bee-friendly wildflowers - even without gardening skills. If you have no green fingers at all or no green space to plant, you can go the whole hog and exchange two full trading cards for one of three plush bees. At least as far as the seed balls are concerned, there have been much more questionable collecting campaigns. There can't be enough blooming flowers these days. Flowers make bees and people happy.
Meanwhile, people are still struggling a little with luck. This is shown by the editorial environment that the cheerful Coop bees had to deal with on 20min.ch on Monday. The world: a single piece of bad news. Terror in the Netherlands, a boy killed in an accident in Niederurnertal, a mega-meteroit at atomic bomb level, a supposedly dead person on a public bus... and then Thomas Gottschalk separated from his wife. After 43 years of marriage!
Given the tragedy that humanity is currently experiencing, bees must be happy with their worries - dwindling habitat, lack of biodiversity, threat of pesticides, invasive competitors. Don't worry, bee happy.
