Die slowly, but solemnly
Is "Die Hard" a Christmas movie? Opinions differ - 20th Century Fox makes the decision easier with a newly edited trailer.
"Die Hard" from 1988 is undoubtedly one of the most legendary action films of all time. Bruce Willis shone in his signature role. As the film - which is mostly brutal and not very festive - is set during the Christmas period, it has become a Christmas movie over the years. No holiday without "Die Hard". For many people, the film (and its sequels) is a must-see when the family celebrations are over and peace has finally returned. But is "Die Hard" a Christmas movie? There really isn't much to suggest it is. Except that John McClane actually wanted to celebrate Christmas with his family and suddenly found himself locked in a tower block with a horde of terrorists.
20th Century Fox has finally settled the question and has edited the film into a cheerful new trailer. But actually, it was always clear to us anyway. (hae)
