Tamedia and Goldbach join forces in the digital sector

Since the merger in August 2018, Tamedia and Goldbach have been working on defining their future collaboration in various fields of activity. The complementary inventory of Goldbach and Tamedia in the areas of TV, print, online, radio and out-of-home offers ideal conditions for attractive joint advertising offers. The first concrete measures will follow in 2019 in the digital sector.

Cooperation in the network business

The successful cooperation between Tamedia Advertising and Goldbach Audience (Switzerland) in video marketing is being extended to the display sector. In spring 2019, the two partners will launch a bundled advertising offering. "Our aim is to enable our customers to benefit from a broader product portfolio and therefore a much greater reach and better targeting options over the course of the year. It should be possible to reach almost all Swiss Internet users in a premium environment with just one booking," says Michi Frank, CEO of Goldbach and member of Tamedia's Management Board.Tamedia and Goldbach want to expand their role as the leading Swiss provider in the field of data-driven display and video marketing (instream and outstream) and will continuously expand the joint network offering. Marketing will be handled by the sales teams of Tamedia Advertising and Goldbach Audience.

New digital service unit

In order to drive digital marketing forward, the two Digital Advertising Services divisions of Tamedia Advertising and Goldbach Digital Services will be merged into a new organization called "Digital Advertising Services", which will start operations on 1 March 2019 under the Goldbach umbrella, with the aim of becoming the leading digital service unit in Switzerland that stands for professional service, advanced technologies and data-driven quality products. "We have two powerful teams with extensive know-how and a high level of expertise. We are convinced that together we will be in an even better position to develop new technologies and forms of advertising quickly and efficiently and to make a strong market presence together," says Marcel Kohler, Head of Advertising & Commuter Media and member of Tamedia's Management Board, explaining the move. Who will take over the management is still open and will be communicated at a later date.
