fitv now also in the trains of the RBS

The 19 bus routes of RBS and BSU, which carry around 14 million passengers in the greater Bern-Solothurn area, have been using passengertv since 2013. The contracts between RBS/BSU and Livesystems, the operator of the passengertv screens, have just been extended for a further period.

Busiest railroad lines in the canton of Berne

All 14 new Stadlerrail trains are scheduled to run on the S9 (Unterzollikofen) and Worblental line S7 by 2020. "Mandarinli" replace them. These two lines serve the busiest rail routes in the canton of Berne. The passengertv program comes from nau.ch, the new online platform from Livesystems, which focuses specifically on local news for the screens, and RBS has closely involved the population of the Worblental in the procurement process from the outset. This close cooperation will continue with a focus on local news in subsequent operations.

Market leader in Switzerland

Throughout Switzerland, passengertv is now the market leader in streetcars, buses and commuter trains in 23 cantons and reaches over 1.3 million passengers every day (WEMF-certified). In addition to RBS and BSU, several other public transport companies in the greater Bern area use passengertv: Aare Seeland Mobil (ASM), Verkehrsbetriebe Biel (VB), PostAuto Schweiz, Verkehrsbetriebe STI around Steffisburg, Thun and Interlaken, Busland in the Burgdorf area and BLS.
