Seven tips for successful video content marketing
MOVING PICTURE The Social Media Academy has compiled seven tips for successful video content marketing.1) Produce high-quality videos. On YouTube alone, 100 hours of video material are uploaded every minute. Your own video must stand out from the crowd in terms of quality.2) Produce relevant videos. Customers will only click on your videos if they offer added value and the user is interested in them. Put yourself in your customer's shoes and think about which topics might be of interest to them. Perhaps other people in the company can also help you with this. Why not ask customer service which questions come up most frequently.3) Optimize your videos for Google and co. Search engines love video content and display it prominently, provided you pay attention to a few points. These include, for example, a good video description, an appealing title and, of course, good content.4) Optimize your videos for mobile use. Many users, especially younger ones, consume videos on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Your video must look just as good on these devices as it does on a large computer screen. This applies above all to the legibility of text and the recognizability of details in the video.5) Provide your video with a good preview image. All video platforms give you a selection of thumbnails that you can use for the video after uploading it. However, it is often also possible to upload your own images that you have designed in advance. Make use of this option! A good thumbnail can increase click rates enormously. However, the following applies here: Be honest and don't annoy your customers with deceptive thumbnails.6) Pay attention to the technical specifications for your video. If you distribute videos on platforms such as YouTube and the like, it is unlikely that your video will cause problems on different devices due to the conversion of the services. However, if you upload your videos to your own web space, you must ensure that the format can be displayed on as many devices as possible. Your server must also be powerful enough to make the video available to several users at the same time.7) Share your videos on social networks. Almost 4.7 billion pieces of content are shared by users on Facebook every day - and videos are shared much more often than normal status updates. Use this multiplier and benefit from the increased reach for your company.8) Use relationships! Look for partners who have an interest in sharing your video. In the best case scenario, these partners will have a large number of followers and serve you as high-quality multipliers.
