WEBSITES News portals are only the second choice for Swiss internet users. Social media, search and directories, on the other hand, dominate. 4Trend.ch provides an insight into the ranking of the most frequently used websites.The popular search engine Google is in first place. YouTube follows in second place and Facebook in third place, according to data from Alexa Internet (Amazon Group). The ranking takes into account the number of visits and pageviews based on a random sample. The data is considered representative for heavily used websites, with eight Swiss websites in the top 20. Google.ch is followed by Bluewin.ch from Swisscom and Blick.ch from Ringier. Alongside 20min.ch and SRF.ch, Blick.ch is the only pure news website in the top 20. Nevertheless, based on the search engine queries of the past twelve months, interest within the CH sites is particularly high at Blick.ch and SRF.ch.

Among the top websites with a CH domain, the homepage of the Federal Administration clearly leads the ranking.
