The most successful Swiss web agencies
WEB RANKING Best of Swiss Web has launched its latest list of the best web agencies in Switzerland. Jung von Matt/Limmat leads the ranking. In terms of topics, Swiss web agencies are most concerned with "digital transformation", "personnel recruitment" and "mobile" in 2016.Addendum: For this message there is a Corrigenda.Change at the top of the Best of Swiss Web perpetual leaderboard: Jung von Matt / Limmat has overtaken the previous leader of the eternal best list. The Zurich-based communications agency has won the most prizes and ranking points at the Best of Swiss Web Awards in the last sixteen years, replacing last year's leader Hinderling Volkart AG. Also new on the podium is Unic AG, which won the master title this year with the relaunch of post.ch - Unic knocked Namics AG off the podium with this advance to third place. These four companies lead the rankings by a large margin over the competition, with slightly fewer shifts in the top lists of the eleven individual categories. Zühlke Engineering is the new number one in the ranking of web service providers with the highest turnover. With an annual turnover of around 60 million Swiss francs for the use of web technologies, the company trumps last year's number one, Namics. It is interesting to note that Zühlke is traditionally a technology provider that now also offers web services. This also shows that the boundaries between web technology and traditional IT are becoming blurred.

Top 30 of the 'Eternal Leaderboard' (Best of Swiss Web ranking points 2001 - 2016)What keeps the web industry busyA survey of web service providers was conducted again this year. Last year, 54.6% of respondents put mobile at the top of their list of priorities, followed by recruitment (49.5%) and the shortage of skilled workers. In the current survey, the challenges surrounding the digital transformation took the top spot (59.8%). This was followed by staff recruitment (50 percent) and the topic of mobile (48.8 percent). The industry has apparently recovered well from the franc shock. While the sudden appreciation of the franc was still a cause for concern for a good 24.3 percent of survey participants a year ago, the significance of the strength of the franc compared to foreign currencies fell by half this year to 12.2 percent of mentions, while concerns about foreign competition also decreased significantly compared to last year's survey. While 23.2 percent of survey participants mentioned foreign project teams as an important issue last year, this year the figure was 13.4 percent. The order situation has obviously improved. While 38.4 percent of service providers were still concerned about the order situation last year, this year it was only an issue for 30.5 percent. The detailed annual presentation of the Swiss web agency sector published by Best of Swiss Web GmbH is based on the medal table from the sixteen years of the Best of Swiss Web Award and on a comprehensive survey conducted by Netzwoche on the economic and thematic reviews and outlooks of the most important digital companies in Switzerland.
