Onlineprinters opens new production site for large format printing

Onlineprinters GmbH opens a new production site for the manufacture of large format prints in Germany.The company has also invested in an administration building, which offers 600 square meters of office space and already houses 21 employees from marketing and product development. Onlineprinters thus remains loyal to its German location in Neustadt an der Aisch, where it now has a total area of 42,000 square meters. "Large-format print products are a rapidly growing part of our business," explains Managing Director Dr. Michael Fries. In 2015, demand for these products was massive compared to the previous year. "Today, large-format outdoor advertising is part of a modern marketing mix. We are investing in this area so that we can continue to meet our customers' wishes in the future," Fries continues.Large format printing for five yearsThe Large Format Printing (LFP) department has existed at Onlineprinters GmbH since January 2011. The products on offer include advertising signs, trade fair supplies such as roll-up displays, photo wallpaper, advertising tarpaulins for attaching to building fences and scaffolding, as well as flags and banners. Nineteen employees produce the orders, which are received from all over Europe via the company's 15 online stores. A wide variety of materials are printed, such as PVC tarpaulin, Plexiglas®, flag fabric and twin-wall sheets. The department also handles the further processing of the products, including cutting the printed matter to size, eyeletting tarpaulins and hemming flags, while the industrial production of printed products, as carried out in online print shops, enables even products measuring several square meters to be manufactured cost-effectively. In addition, special options such as the production of advertising materials in the desired size down to the centimetre and production on the day of the order (flash printing) are possible.Onlineprinters produces large-format prints on state-of-the-art digital printing machines from HP and Durst and uses environmentally friendly and odourless latex inks. The company was the world's first purchaser of the Durst Rho 312R, a high-speed UV web press for printing on mesh and PVC tarpaulins.
