Buzzman and Burger King are discovering that out-of-office messages in Belgium are a prime advertising platform.
Out of Office? Never mind. In fact, it comes in just at the right time. At least in Belgium. There, Burger King has set up an out-of-office notification service to keep those at home happy. In a simple, but probably not ineffective way: Anyone who announces their absence on Whopperooo.burgerking.be ensures that anyone who tries in vain to make contact receives a free Whopper as a consolation. The digital campaign has been running since July 3. And is only valid for Belgium. So if you're still happy that your work colleague or office neighbor is on vacation, it's for other reasons. (hae)
