The new key visual was presented for this year's edition of Zurich Design Weeks. It picks up on the festival motto "Team up" and gets to the heart of it in terms of design: the familiar green cube is made up of many smaller ones in 2025 - a symbol of cooperation as the basis for innovation in design. The visual identity was designed by ALP Atelier Landolt Pfister.
"The motto 'Team up' is intended to encourage collaboration and promote exchange," explains Festival Director Gabriela Chicherio. In addition to the focus on teamwork, the principle of circular design will also be given greater prominence. Zurich was the first Swiss city to sign the "Circular Cities Declaration". The Zurich Design Weeks take up this development and position design as a driving force in the transformation towards a circular society.
Zurich Design Weeks 2025 will run from September 4 to 14 - and will be seven days shorter than last year. The reduced period is intended to lead to a denser program. As in previous editions, the neon green key visual will be present on posters and flyers throughout the city. The sustainable black and green cubes will also be used again to mark the studios, showrooms and stores of participating program partners.
The festival will once again bring together numerous players from the fields of design, architecture, art and related disciplines. With the Design Biennale Zurich and the Museum für Gestaltung, which celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2025, two central partner events are on the program. The full festival program will be published at the beginning of August.

With the theme "Transition", Zurich Design Weeks 2303 creates a platform for small and large transitions: from analog to digital, from the individual to society, from disposable goods to the circular economy. A group exhibition in public space with works by thirty selected visual designers and design agencies is also part of the Poster Safari. Large-format posters will hang in the city of Zurich for two weeks. Each poster is accompanied by an animation that can be viewed on site via an AR web application.
Studio Thom Pfister was also invited to design three posters. The theme "Transition" could be interpreted freely in terms of design. This resulted in the concept idea "The course of things", which is visualized by the three posters "Chaos", "System" and "Global". On each poster there is a QR code that leads to the animated poster and thus the circle from analog to digital is closed.

Responsible at Studio Thom Pfister: Thom Pfister (Creative Director), Roland Zenger (Art Director), Noemi Bünzli (Graphic Designer).
