Swiss media entrepreneur and co-founder of nau.ch, Simon Klopfenstein, is launching Yuvoi, a tech start-up that aims to redefine the audio market. Founded in 2024, the company is positioning itself as a Swiss alternative to the dominant social platforms and is focusing on a radically different concept: content is condensed to a maximum of 100 seconds, with the focus on audio instead of visual overstimulation.
Yuvoi addresses two key developments of our time: increasing visual overload and the growing need for compact, independent content. The platform enables all users to publish audio shorts up to 100 seconds long that can be easily integrated into everyday life: while commuting, cooking, exercising or wherever visual consumption is disruptive or simply not possible.
«We want to enable people to stay informed without having to constantly look at their display,» explains co-founder Simon Klopfenstein. For content creators, the pressure to present themselves visually is also removed - a deliberate alternative to the Instagram and TikTok culture.

Yuvoi's market entry focuses on sport, particularly football in the DACH region. Fan portals and clubs publish their content in audio form on the platform. This allows fans to enjoy a wide range of news, analyses and voices from their favorite clubs every day without having to constantly stare at their cell phones. At the same time, the foundation has been laid for an expansion to other topics such as politics, business, culture and lifestyle. Yuvoi is thus positioning itself as a supplement to existing formats - for content that is too big for a headline but too compact for podcasts.
Roman Josi, captain of the Nashville Predators, is an investor in Yuvoi and is convinced by the concept. «I travel a lot in professional sport. That's why I appreciate easy access to relevant information without having to look at my cell phone. Yuvoi is direct, clear and respectful of people's time,» says Josi. Sophie Achermann, an expert in public discourse, also supports the start-up as a member of the Board of Directors.

Not only users benefit from the format, the production is also deliberately kept simple for content creators: Audio shorts can be recorded and uploaded directly via smartphone or generated from text with the help of AI voices. «When people can speak without technical detours, a form of authenticity is created that is missing in many digital formats today. This immediate moment is a central part of Yuvoi,» concludes Ingo Winter, co-founder.
At the same time, this content can also be redistributed directly: Media, companies and creators can integrate their Yuvoi content on their own websites and thus extend their reach beyond the platform. The Yuvoi app is now available in the App Store and Google Play Store.
Yuvoi Global AG was founded in 2024 by Ingo Winter and Simon Klopfenstein and is based in Frauenkappelen near Bern.
