"I am delighted that we are able to show the home World Cup live to the sports-interested public on free TV, which has a wide reach, and this is in line with the core concept of public service," says Roland Mägerle, Head of SRF Sport and Business Unit Sport SRG.

The agreement with the International Ski Federation (FIS) covers not only the upcoming Alpine World Championships, but also other snow sports title competitions up to 2029 - including the Nordic World Ski Championships, snowboard, freestyle and freeski world championships. The 2027 World Championships in Montafon, Austria, will also be shown live on the SRG platforms.

With this agreement, SRG wants to strengthen its role as a reliable media partner for Swiss snow sports and secure access to the biggest winter events - without a paywall, for all regions and languages.
