Commissioned films and in-house productions under one brand umbrella: Mcqueen Branded will be responsible for commissioned films in the future, Mcqueen Film & TV for non-fictional and fictional material. The cooperation with the Berlin-based name partner will be dissolved.
The merger of the two film divisions under the Mcqueen Films brand umbrella is intended to be more than a mere name change: Advances in digital technologies and the growing importance of social media are also opening up new avenues and synergies for the film industry.
The advertising film, the supreme discipline for emotional brand messages, is thus visibly becoming multidimensional: genres are merging, new ones are emerging - and the commissioned film is moving closer to the non-fictional and fictional genres. This is where Mcqueen Branded, led by executive producer and partner Clemens 'Kalle' Petersson, comes in: "No matter in which constellation you come together for a project, trust in the idea and in the respective professional partners are crucial for its success." The buzzword at Mcqueen Films is not digital content, but branded, "because that offers much more freedom than just being in the digital field and being stuck with the pragmatic term 'content'."
Mcqueen Branded wants to expand these genre boundaries. This is not a farewell to commercials; on the contrary, the aim is to fully exploit the possibilities offered by a good idea and make it available to a wider range of media and platforms.
One example of this was Swisscom's "Pistenfarbe" campaign, which produced a wide range of films for a wide variety of platforms and media - and not as an offspring of a main film: each one was perfectly tailored to the respective target audience. For this, there were no less than six other awards at this year's ADC Awards, in addition to the single campaign cube.
The in-house production department has already produced some remarkable productions and wants to further establish itself on the market. Philipp Petersson takes over as executive producer. Recent productions point to the various dimensions that Mcqueen Film & TV will pursue and further develop in the future:
The production involvement in the short film "Tala'vision" brought the production house the Student Oscar in Gold and made it to the final round of the Academy Awards Nomination along with numerous other festival prizes.
The long-term study "Until We Talk" is now in post-production after a final shoot in June. The film paints a very intimate picture of the extraordinary friendship between Bassam and Rami, whose daughters were killed in the seemingly endless Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Filming of the pilot for the docu-series "X-Patriot" was recently completed. The charismatic mix of comedy, drama and documentary accompanies a Trump supporter on his politically pointed journey across the European continent to show his 78 followers in the U.S. the "socialist hellscape of Europe". Motivated by the fractured political climate, X-Patriot campaigns to mediate and promote mutual understanding.
For strong brands and their core messages, Mcqueen Film & TV also offers the possibility of combining projects of socio-political relevance with a format other than the 30-second commercial: For example, IWC's cinematic campaign "Born of a Dream" demonstrates how the shoulder-to-shoulder relationship between branded and film &TV generates added value for a brand.
"There is a lot of potential in this area for brands that don't just want to quickly trumpet how climate-conscious or socially responsible they are - but actually live their attitude and the values associated with it. Because the stories that real life writes still touch viewers the most deeply," says Philipp Petersson. For Mcqueen Films, this closes the circle between Film & TV and Branded - and the shared trust in an idea.
On Friday, the repositioning and relaunch of the webpage was first celebrated at a summer party.

Making chips is something for experts. Just like playing soccer at European Championship level. That's why the Zweifel chip factory also needs game reviews at halftime, video evidence, and summaries after successful games. The current campaign by chip manufacturer Zweifel shows exactly how this works.
Focus, focus, focus
"First Kezz, then Provençale and then Paprika" - with full focus, the chip expert explains to his team what today's game lineup should look like. Not much different than during a soccer match. And the two other commercials that will run throughout Switzerland around the European Championship matches on TV and online TV from Friday are also intended to prove: Switzerland's favorite team sport and Zweifel snacks have more in common than you might think.
Orange fire, green production
The production of the spots was done with Who's Mcqueen Picture and according to the guidelines "Greenproduction" of the Swissfilm Assocation. "Greenproduction" supports filmmakers in producing in a climate-friendly way. One of the objectives was to keep the shoot with the chip experts completely climate-neutral. Due to Covid restrictions, the goal was not fully achieved, but: "The entire crew gained valuable experience for future shoots and we were all made particularly aware of the topic once again," says Annette Häcki, Executive Creative Director of Jung von Matt Limmat.

For the retailer Livique, furniture is not an end in itself or a home decoration, but a living part of life. And as such, Livique furniture is sometimes allowed to play a role that is a little out of the ordinary. This is what the four new short commercials, which Ammarkt produced together with director Lukas Wälli and Who's McQueen, are meant to show in an entertaining way. A swivel chair is turned into a children's merry-go-round, a bed into an exercise machine, a dining table into a ping-pong table, and a sideboard into an improvised motorcycle workshop.
The TV campaign starts at the beginning of March. At the same time, the new 200-page catalog will be sent out to Livique customers. This and other accompanying measures should ensure that Livique, after a very successful 2020, will also be one of the winners in the furniture market this year.

Every third person in Switzerland feels lonely. Among 15- to 24-year-olds, the figure is as high as 44 percent. The reason: Instead of doing something with friends, people spend their time online much more often. In figures: More than three hours a day. Personal time with friends or family, on the other hand, amounts to just one hour. The Maestrani chocolate factory, which produces Munz, wanted to counteract this alarming development. The St. Gallen agency Vitamin 2 and its network partners therefore developed an honest commitment instead of relying on clichéd chocolate advertising.
"A company that has been in business for 165 years thinks long-term," Markus Vettiger, CEO of Maestrani, points out. "The reason why our brand identity now also deliberately conveys our values."
With the idea "Together is better", the St.Gallen agency conceived an initiative that touches emotionally and shakes people up. Instead of beautifully colored pictures with happy people, more serious scenes were deliberately staged and questions were asked that make people think. It goes without saying that the first step out of loneliness is difficult, and that reconciling words after an argument are hard to say. Munz therefore focuses on small gestures that connect people. And with tools, he also offers a hand for new encounters.
This also convinced Philipp Gnaegi, director of the umbrella organization Pro Familie Schweiz, which is committed to the well-being of Swiss society on a political, corporate and personal level. He supports the "Together is better" initiative and acts as a credible co-sponsor of the campaign.
The complete appearance of the Munz brand was revised. "Together is better" is reflected in everything from communication to packaging at the POS. "Only if everything comes from the same mold can the initiative achieve its full effect," Maestrani Brand Manager Michael Schopper is convinced. TV spots, digital moving image posters for train stations, online videos and social media content have been created. The website serves as the hub Together.org. The national campaign will be launched on September 16, 2019.

The campaign idea with the slogan "Switzerland is our sports ground" combines sports and location in so-called "Micro Adventures": In the campaign, local athletes are shown at Swiss locations with the exact coordinates - as concrete inspiration. In the run-up to the campaign, countless moving images and photos were generated and used across all touchpoints.
In the course of the campaign launch, Thjnk Zurich worked with sister agency Loved to revise Ochsner Sport's CI/CD. It includes a logo facelift, a new imagery, new fonts and a new approach to colors and pictograms. Content is bundled in the newly developed magazine "Playground," which combines editorial reports with tips on sports adventures and equipment. The first issue will be published on April 1, 2019. The starting signal for the new appearance will be given on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in Europaallee near Zurich's main train station: with the opening of the first Ochsner Sport Pro, a store that focuses exclusively on Bike, Run and Train. Here, bikers will find, among other things, a bike workshop, a measuring station with diagnostic tools including saddle and light tests and the Bikeservice@home, a mobile workshop on 1000 square meters. As the first major retailer in Switzerland, Ochsner Sport offers a dynamic foot and running analysis to customize the perfect running shoe.

In August 2019, the two pilots Steve Boultbee-Brooks and Matt Jones set off on a record-breaking flight around the world in a restored Spitfire from 1943. The luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen is accompanying the "Longest Flight" as a partner and is dedicating a new watch collection to the pilots and the Spitfire aircraft.
In an epic launch film with large and intense images, Scholz & Friends stages the restoration and maiden flight of the aircraft at the Boultbee Flight Academy in southern England and the prototype construction of the new Spitfire watch collection in Schaffhausen.
"We tell the story of man & machine and the perfect interplay from which great things can emerge," explains Robert Krause, Managing Director Creation Scholz & Friends Berlin. "We paid particular attention to the cinematic staging. The flight scenes were shot "in camera" - completely without CGI," adds Jörg Waschescio, Creative Director at Scholz & Friends.
The film celebrated its premiere last week at the Geneva Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie SIHH.

Most Swiss people are familiar with the burgundy signs that signal the Grand Tour of Switzerland throughout the country. But many local guests are not yet familiar with the first Swiss road trip. A special national campaign aims to change that. At the heart of the campaign are seven tongue-in-cheek travel warnings for the Grand Tour of Switzerland, which will be broadcast on moving image channels throughout Switzerland.
Because the Grand Tour has a lot to offer: With 1643 kilometers, through four language regions, over five Alpine passes and past 22 lakes, the Grand Tour strings together some of the most beautiful sides of Switzerland. So it can sometimes happen that the hardest motorcycle rider is brought to tears by the view over a valley. Or that the photographing family man decides instead of a photo of his loved ones for a landscape panorama that is at least as beautiful.
The national campaign will be played out on a segment-specific basis, taking into account the target groups of car drivers and motorcyclists. The campaign, which was created in cooperation with Switzerland Tourism and the Grand Tour of Switzerland association, will be played out on digital channels and supported with a competition.

Until now, the granting of consumer loans has been the exclusive preserve of banks. The start-up company Lend.ch wants to change this by means of crowd-based lending, thereby democratizing the consumer credit business. The company offers borrowers fair and transparent loans at unusually low interest rates on its platform. Due to the low margin that Lend.ch requires to bring providers and borrowers together, it also opens up extremely attractive investment opportunities for the mostly private lenders, who can invest directly in "projects" on Lend.ch.
"The topic of crowdlending is still fairly unknown in this country and so, of course, is the Lend.ch brand," says Andy Siemers, one of the founders of the fintech company. For this reason, the agency at the airport was commissioned to publicize both the topic and the company and to create the highest possible brand awareness in the shortest possible time. With "De Hueber bruucht Geld", Agentur am Flughafen has developed a story that explains crowdlending in a simple and likeable way and at the same time appeals to both potential borrowers and investors. The advertising film was produced by Who's McQueen Picture. The Zurich-based company was able to hire the renowned director Jyri Pasanen, who has won several ADC awards and Cannes Lions, for the shoot. Felix von Muralt, who has also won numerous awards, was responsible for the camera.

Although Lend.ch can only be found online and had previously only advertised via this channel, the decision was made to go on analog television with a classic TV commercial. The objective was clear: firstly, to achieve a high level of awareness as quickly as possible in order to achieve a high conversion rate. On the other hand, an increase in traffic to Lend.ch was to be secured in order to be able to enter into further dialog with the target groups.

The mobile payment solution Twint has transformed from a start-up to an established company in less than two years. Through the merger with Paymit in fall 2016, the six largest Swiss banks are now on board as owners. Together, they developed a Swiss standard in mobile payment. In addition to rebranding, this change required a new brand positioning and a partner brand strategy.

The aim was to build a strong umbrella brand based on Partner & Partner's comprehensive marketing concept, which can also be used flexibly by the banks while complying with specifications. The challenge in both the rebranding and the strategy process was to unite the participating banks in terms of communication.
The result is a main branding that combines the colors of all banks and the shape and appearance of Twint. The co-branding is individualized to the respective bank in terms of color.
The main idea of the campaign during the launch phase is based on the peer-to-peer function, with which money can be sent and requested from smartphone to smartphone. This is further established as a link between Paymit and Twint and thus finds its place as a significant community idea in the new world of Twint. The campaign focuses on digital measures such as digital performance and digital branding, retargeting, social media and the website as the hub of all the banks' apps.

When it comes to road safety, AXA does much more than you would expect from an insurance company. Regular safety tips for a wide range of road users, school route analyses or tire tests are just a few examples. Since 1981, AXA has even been conducting its own accident research and conducts annual crash tests, which regularly result in preventive measures. In cooperation with other institutions, for example, the ban on crash bars on cars or the helmet compulsory for e-bikes was achieved. All of this benefits the general public. But the public is hardly aware of this.
Together with Publicis (responsible for the overall creative concept and its implementation) and Virtue (conception and implementation of the digital content campaign), AXA wants to change this with the current campaign.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=/RjW9vk8Eqzc
Under the motto "We make everyone in Switzerland safer. Not just our customers", an integrated advertising and content campaign was realized that communicates AXA's unique commitment throughout Switzerland across all channels. A TV spot, digital-out-of-home measures at train stations and gas stations, emotional online films and useful how-to videos, diverse online banners, topic-specific blog posts, versatile social media activities and POS posters bring AXA's prevention measures to life. The campaign is rounded off with a landing page full of tips and background information.

The comprehensive prevention campaign will be on display throughout Switzerland from now until mid-September. More at AXA.ch/traffic-safety.

Today, people live more and more individually and are more and more independent. Goals are often pursued alone. But even if we know how to manage on our own: Cohesion in life is important to us. Because pretty much everything in life only makes sense together.
"In today's connected world, Swisscom wants to give its customers support. We help them stay connected by connecting them with people they care about, products that excite them and offers that move them," says Tim Alexander, Head of Marketing and Brand Communications at Swisscom.
The campaign also marks the launch of the new inOne model, which combines Swisscom's offerings into a single subscription. This will make it even easier for Swisscom customers to stay connected, according to a statement.
Note: If your browser does not display the film correctly, you can also view it under Swisscom.ch/together View
Swisscom and Heimat have launched a 90-second manifesto film on this topic, produced by Who's McQueen and directed by Jan Gleie, which can be seen on TV throughout Switzerland from 25.02.2017. The campaign at brand level will be completed simultaneously by several poster and print motifs, as well as online measures and placements in the cinema. Heimat Zürich is acting as the online agency.

It also takes a look at the near future of Swiss passenger transportation, where travel will become even easier and more convenient for many passengers.
Our society is constantly changing. SBB's infrastructure in particular has to take this into account. How does it deal, for example, with the fact that more and more retirees will be mobile in the future? Or the fact that barrier-free access to passenger trains should be possible everywhere for wheelchair users, for example.
SBB's strategists and fleet managers plan far ahead and implement important changes in public passenger transport throughout Switzerland. Because for mental coach Michael, for example, it is important to get to his professional athletes as quickly as possible when they need him before important competitions. Michael is in a wheelchair. From 2024, he will be able to travel barrier-free throughout the country.
In Lausanne and Renens, the stations are being completely rebuilt as part of Léman 2030 so that passenger capacity there can be doubled by 2025. This will make it easier for retiree Jacques, for example, to travel to his friends when he is no longer able to drive.
And as early as 2020, Ticino will move even closer to German-speaking Switzerland when the Ceneri Base Tunnel goes into operation. This is important for Catarina, a young mother from the southern canton. She wants her children to be able to find their way back into the family fold quickly and easily once they have moved out.
Rod Kommunikation tells the distinctive planning and implementation power of SBB in three personal, pictorial stories from three different parts of the country. The stories condense the urgency of customer needs on the one hand and SBB's solution competence on the other in a vivid and emotional way. The protagonists of the films are real. Just like their expectations for the future - and SBB's commitment to meeting them.
