Exponents of the fashion industry are increasingly turning to digital distribution channels, which means that advertising bookings are also shifting to the digital space, the company further writes. The Textile Review has therefore been struggling for years with falling revenues in a structurally declining market. The Covid 19 pandemic, which has hit the fashion industry hard, has once again accelerated this development.
For this reason, the media company had felt compelled to discontinue the specialist title. The last issue is scheduled to appear on September 20, 2021. As a result, there will be three layoffs. A social plan is to be applied, according to CH Media.

Textilrevue has undergone a comprehensive redesign and presents itself younger and fresher. In addition to various visual changes, there have also been adjustments to the content: The sections and structure are now more clearly arranged.
With the current issue, Christina Noli takes over responsibility. She has also been editor-in-chief of the lifestyle magazine Places since 2016. Previously, she worked as fashion editor at Faces. She draws on many years of experience in the fashion and textile industry. The editorial team of Textilrevue also includes the "fashion specialists" Rhea Leisibach, Noémie Schwaller and Leila Alder.
Christina Noli is looking forward to leading the magazine into the future with a fresh look. The positioning of Textilrevue is to remain unchanged: "We will continue to be the mouthpiece of the textile industry," she is quoted as saying in a statement. Textilrevue is published as a print magazine with a circulation of 6500 copies and is also available as an e-paper.
