The «This is Print» campaign by Stutz Medien and dpsuisse has been running throughout Switzerland in both print and digital formats since March 16, 2026. It conveys a clear message: Print is diverse, powerful, and relevant—a true source of added value in modern communication.

All Eyes on Print

In a world full of fleeting digital content, the campaign focuses on emotional themes and pithy headlines. Posters, notepads, stickers, and other printed materials are not presented as relics of a bygone era, but as deliberate counterpoints to the digital deluge. According to the press release, traditional media excel precisely where the digital world becomes overwhelming. A physical product conveys reliability and thoughtfulness—and is therefore special.

«Our goal is to make print more visible again, enhance its image, and clearly highlight its added value,» says Daniela Wassmer of Stutz Medien, the campaign’s strategic lead.

It was a long road to get there: More than a year passed between the official launch and the premiere. During the campaign planning phase, a total of 15 core messages were tested on social media with a broad target audience. The six messages that garnered the most attention formed the basis for the campaign categories “Love,” “Friendship,” “Future,” “Impact,” “Success,” and “Creativity”—categories designed to highlight the many ways print influences a wide variety of areas of life.

Print and digital: not rivals, but partners

A key goal of the campaign is to dispel the perceived dichotomy between print and digital. «Print and digital aren’t opponents; they’re teammates,» states Tanja Fernandez, Marketing Lead at Stutz Medien and a member of the core team. Digital helps build reach, measure performance, and make messages transparent. Print demonstrates its emotional, tactile, and image-building strengths in the analog realm. It is precisely this interplay that makes communication strategically strong and sustainably effective.

Consequently, the campaign itself also leverages both channels: In addition to TV, (digital) out-of-home advertising, movie theater screens, and social media, a trilingual website serves as the centerpiece—featuring information, emotional content, and a contest that runs throughout the entire campaign.

A movement that drives the industry

The «This is Print» campaign is sponsored by dpsuisse, the umbrella organization for the Swiss print and communications industry, and its approximately 900 members. These members were provided with a member kit—consisting of advertisements, flyers, online displays, banners, and other printed materials—to actively spread the campaign’s message.

Beat Kneubühler, director of dpsuisse, is quoted in the press release as saying: «The campaign is a strategic and creative masterpiece. In Stutz Medien, we’ve found an agency that understands the value of print, is passionate about what it does, and implements our marketing boldly and creatively.» He adds: «We can see that the campaign is making an impact in the industry—but also among people who previously had nothing to do with the campaign.»

Over the course of two years, two ad campaigns per year will run on social media via Meta and LinkedIn to continuously build reach and refine messaging. The goal: not a short-term attention grab, but a sustainable movement.
