Instead of using CO2 guzzlers such as oil and gas, ewz is already heating with lake water. This type of heat generation is environmentally friendly, is constantly being expanded, but is still little known. The new campaign aims to make the general public more aware of ewz's contribution to decarbonizing the heating landscape and achieving the city's net-zero target.

The striking campaign motif stages a giant Zürisee water bed bottle against the backdrop of the city in the morning light. An everyday object that people like to cuddle up to becomes a symbolic image for a technically complex topic that could quickly become overwhelming. This is how optimistic Zurich's energy future looks.

Katrin Rüesch, Senior Campaign Manager at ewz, explains the strategy behind the campaign: "Focusing on a single subject enables the greatest possible recognition along the entire carefully curated customer journey."
