Swiss television SRF has now developed into a real social media heavyweight. The SRF channels achieved over 2 million interactions in January, by far the most on Instagram (over 1.5 million). This means that Energy Switzerland - which is actually alone at the top - suddenly has some competition in the battle for the Swiss social media crown. However, the buffer is still a comfortable 1.3 million interactions.

With a good 1.7 million interactions in January, the 20 minutes (+27%) - in contrast to its direct competitors, however, the Tamedia title is still particularly strong on Facebook and provokes the most user reactions on this channel (1.3 million).

In addition to Izzy (+27%) also increases the NZZ considerable (+50%). Even the old lady is still mostly on Facebook. Also Le Temps has made a veritable start to the new year with an increase of +98%. Responsible for this is an article about Credit Suissewhich achieved over 60,000 interactions on Facebook.

There was an explosion of interactions on the Polizei.news (+1500%) page. The reason for this is the post with the most interactions of all - a missing person report on six-year-old Lena. Whether it makes sense to list such sites in the media ranking is at least questionable and ultimately remains the decision of the start-up Storyclash, which makes the selection based on the official Austrian media definition.

Izzy also achieved a small viral hit with a post ("How to beat call centers at their own game"), generating almost 120,000 interactions.

Storyclash-Ranking: 3+ und Le Matin geben im November Gas https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/storyclash-ranking-3-und-le-matin-geben-im-november-gas/ Wed, 18 Dec 2019 17:29:38 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=118075 media_ch_1119_OG

As the social media year draws to a close, Swiss media brands are taking it easy. The Blick Group - in this case Blick and Blick am Abend - have decided to withdraw from the ranking. Individual media are excluded from the ranking at their express request, so the ranking does not represent the entire Swiss media landscape. This creates some breathing space at the top. However, with Energy Switzerland and Izzy, two Ringier titles are still represented in the top 5 of the ranking.

Switzerland's largest private TV channel, 3+, is a completely different story. Not only does it have a new owner in CH Media, but it has also had a new "Bachelor" in recent weeks. Although he didn't find his true love in Thailand, he at least generated a lot of traffic on social media. The channel increased its interactions by 42% compared to the previous month - and climbed 5 places.

The French-speaking Swiss newspaper makes an even bigger leap Le Matin. The title interacts 50 percent more diligently with followers than in October. This resulted in a seven-place rise and a jump into the top 10.

One of the reasons for the successful Le Matin month is the most successful articles of the month. It's about a wild boar that destroyed cocaine that smugglers had hidden in the forest. Value: 20,000 francs - the police listened with interest on the phone as the criminals complained about the bristly spoilsport.

Schweizer Medien interagieren im September mit angezogener Handbremse https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/schweizer-medien-interagieren-im-september-mit-angezogener-handbremse/ Mon, 21 Oct 2019 03:59:47 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=116165 media_ch_0919_OG

No big leaps at the top of Storyclash's September ranking: the top five places remain unchanged compared to the previous month. Except for 20 minutes (+1 percent), no title in this top group was able to increase interactions; the Ringier youth portal Izzy lost as much as 20 percent compared to August.

On the other hand Watson and the NZZ (plus 1 each), the Bern-based medium Derbund.ch even increased its interactions by 35 percent and also gained one place.

had to let go of the feather Evening viewThe former commuter newspaper from Ringier lost 45 percent of its interactions and is only just managing to stay in the top 10.

The portal is on the upswing Field hockey News Switzerlandwhich offers news with entertainment and posts ice hockey memes, among other things. Field hockey News Switzerland is a subpage of Sport.ch and made it into the top 10 in September thanks to a 62 percent increase in interaction.

The most successful posting succeeds Energy Switzerland - As in the previous month, the radio group dominated the interactions with the prize draw posts for the Energy Air 19 concert event. The raffle on Facebook generated 281,000 interactions. By comparison, this is more than Lematin.ch achieved across all social media channels in an entire month.

The most successful media article was in September Swissinfo.chThe English contribution about the new Swiss chick shredding ban generated a great deal of interest and generated over 41,000 interactions on Facebook.

Storyclash-Ranking: Schweizer Online-Marketing-Agenturen im August https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/storyclash-ranking-schweizer-online-marketing-agenturen-im-august/ Thu, 19 Sep 2019 14:08:45 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=115007 agenturen_CH_0819_og

This category includes agencies that only or also offer services in the online sector. Some of them have entered the list themselves or have been added by the Austrian startup. The list therefore makes no claim to completeness and is constantly being expanded.

In August 2019, Hutter Consult took first place. The Aadorf-based company specializes in social media marketing, among other things. Hutter Consult collects its own interactions primarily via Facebook - just like the agency MySign, which came in second place.

Energy Schweiz baut auf Social Media den Vorsprung im August deutlich aus https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/energy-schweiz-baut-auf-social-media-den-vorsprung-im-august-deutlich-aus/ Wed, 11 Sep 2019 23:43:24 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=114843 media_ch_0819_OG

Energy Switzerland's interaction figures exploded at a high level in August: a 27% increase compared to the previous month. Around 350,000 more on Facebook, even 600,000 more on Instagram - this difference alone is greater than most media in Switzerland achieve in total. Impressive figures - with a logical explanation: tickets for the Energy Air event, which are not available in shops, were raffled off via social media. The event generated a great deal of interest - the raffle post on Facebook generated no fewer than 278,000 (!) comments.

Otherwise, there was little movement in August: 20 Minuten and Blick swapped places and achieved almost the same number of interactions. The Covenant made a big leap forward with an increase in interaction of 34 percent, moving up seven places to 10th place. The interactions were achieved almost exclusively on Facebook, which is typical for many established, traditional daily newspapers.

The crown for the article with the most interaction in August once again goes to the NZZ. The interview with an ex-general who is running for the AFD and accuses Angela Merkel of pursuing "anti-German policies" made waves. The NZZ has repeatedly succeeded in recent months in achieving a wide reach in German-speaking countries with articles on topics such as migration.

A post from SRF also caused quite a stir: In the Video shows how orcas are released into the wild in Russia instead of being sold to Chinese aquariums as planned. Apparently there is such a thing as "whale prisons" in Russia. By order of President Putin, all 100 whales were released - a story with a happy ending and a click guarantee.

SRF zurück auf dem Storyclash-Podest, Watson und Basler Zeitung legen zu https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/srf-zuruck-auf-dem-storyclash-podest-watson-und-basler-zeitung-legen-zu/ Thu, 15 Aug 2019 09:03:03 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=113930 media_ch_0719_OG

After a turbulent June, the Storyclash ranking, which tracks the social media activities of Swiss media brands and is published exclusively by Werbewoche.ch every month, is returning to a degree of normality. After the previous month's 142% increase in interaction, Blick am Abend lost 63% in July and thus the four places it had gained.

SRF is back at the (almost) top. After a weak June (-3 places), the Leutschenbach-based social media station is back in second place, directly - but still a long way behind - Energy Switzerland.

3+ is feeling the effects of the end of the "Bachelorette" season at the beginning of July, but is (still) just managing to stay in the top 10. Watson is steadily climbing up the rankings, only one place this month, but with a 35% increase in interaction. As a result, the NZZ lost one place despite an increase of 26% compared to the previous month.

The NZZ is actually having a good month. This is particularly evident in the top 10 shared articles. The article that generated by far the most interactions was the commentary "Captain Rackete is not above the Italian law". The article triggered so many reader comments from German-speaking countries that the NZZ had to close the function ("as we are overwhelmed by the comments and cannot moderate them as usual"). Number 2 of the articles also comes from the NZZ, deals with the Rackete case and is a (critical) commentary: Editor-in-chief Eric Gujer shoots in the column "The other view" arrows against the "moral world champion" Germany.

In the past, the Basler Zeitung also repeatedly generated considerable interaction figures with its "anderer Blick". In July, the title returned to the top 10, rising 84% and gaining nine places.

An increase in interaction of no less than 142 percent compared to the Previous month makes Evening view was the big winner of the June edition of the Storyclash ranking. Every month, this measures how Swiss media brands have performed on social media and is published exclusively on Werbewoche.ch in Switzerland. According to the ranking, the former View-commuter brand, which have only been available in digital form since 2018The newspaper achieved 1.5 million interactions on Facebook - over a million more than in the previous month. The Tamedia free newspaper 20 minutes is normally the undisputed Facebook king of the Swiss media landscape and had to admit defeat for the first time in June. The Ringier title made up no less than four places in June, finishing just behind Radio Energy on the podium. The exploit is no coincidence: four of the ten most successful posts of the month came from Evening view.

The NZZ also had a good month. The traditional newspaper shared two of the ten most successful media articles (3rd and 6th place) - both of which dealt indirectly with climate change. The top posting (in all categories) - also from the NZZ or CH Media) - came from the Tagblatt.ch portal. Topic: 59 fawns were saved from death by mowing machines using drones. A topic that apparently moved and interested readers in Eastern Switzerland - the article generated almost 150,000 interactions in June. Incidentally, the same topic also made it into 20 minutes in the list of the most successful articles (4th place).

SRF gelingt im Storyclash-Ranking des Monats Mai ein Exploit https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/srf-gelingt-im-storyclash-ranking-des-monats-mai-ein-exploit/ Mon, 17 Jun 2019 16:25:22 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=112408 media_ch_0519_OG

Almost 50 percent more interactions than in the previous month were achieved by SRF's social media channels in May. The social media department from Leutschenbach has thus moved up three places and is now in second place. Among other things, almost 350,000 additional Instagram interactions compared to April are responsible for the jump. However, SRF also performed strongly on the other ranking-relevant channels in May.

Other titles are also experiencing a kind of belated social media spring: Evening view gained 38 percent, but was unable to make up any ground. Watson increased interactions by 18 percent, View by 16 percent.

Out of nowhere, 3+ makes it back into the top 10. Reason: It's "Bachelorette" time again and the official Instagram page of the program is now part of the Swiss private broadcaster's interaction account.

The article that generated the most interaction in May, comes from SRF CultureA farmer who turned his back on livestock farming because he no longer wanted to take his newborn calf away from the dairy cows. Today, he and his family are vegan farmers. The article received over 70,000 interactions on Facebook.

The most successful posting in the month of May was FM1A man helps a sloth across the road and receives a grateful look at the end - that's all the internet community needs to be happy. To this day, the Post Likes in the six-digit range.

Blick und Izzy tauschen im April im Storyclash-Ranking die Plätze https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/blick-und-izzy-tauschen-im-april-im-storyclash-ranking-die-platze/ Tue, 14 May 2019 05:01:15 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=111346 media_ch_0419_OG

A strong March was followed by a less spectacular April: most Swiss media brands achieved fewer interactions on social media than in the previous month. All titles in the top 5 lost ground, Izzy at 14 percent is even considerable. Since View with 3 percent less than the direct competition, the Ringier title makes up two places, overtakes 20 minutes and takes the lead. Izzy is now in fourth place, just ahead of SRF.

This has Izzy actually performed strongly as usual in terms of postings: four of the ten most successful posts in April came from the Ringier youth portal.

Celebrating a comeback in April Evening view. The former commuter evening newspaper, whose print edition was discontinued last year and lives on as a digital brand in the Blick Group, is showing clear signs of life with a 16% increase in interaction. As the gap to the top (SRF) is too large, this has not (yet?) resulted in an improvement in position. Also strong in April: NZZ. The New Zurich Newspaper increased its interactions by almost 20 percent, moving up two places.

The post that triggered the most interactions in April was written by Le Temps and is about an indigenous victory in court against the oil industry in Ecuador. The top 10 shared articles show once again that Facebook still works very well to mobilize readers in French-speaking Switzerland: Seven out of ten articles originate from French-speaking Switzerland.

Izzy ist wieder zurück auf dem Storyclash-Podest, SRF schwächelt https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/izzy-ist-wieder-zuruck-auf-dem-storyclash-podest-srf-schwachelt/ Mon, 15 Apr 2019 19:57:24 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=110681 media_ch_0319_OG

There is still nothing to shake about the social media throne: Energy Switzerland continues to greet us from the very top - and in March, with an increase in interactions of 12 percent, ensures that the competition remains at a distance. In the case of Energy, 12 percent means almost 400,000 interactions - roughly as many as Lematin.ch (approx. 405,000) achieved in the month of March.

Ringier titles are generally on the rise again. As a result, Izzy generated almost 30 percent more interactions than in the previous month. This is remarkable - despite the fact that the previous month was three days shorter. Ringier's youth portal achieved eight of the ten most successful Swiss postings in March. First and foremost, the Instagram video in which Izzy editor Cedric Schild incited an SVP politician to commit election fraud on the phone. The case made waves in the media - and not just at Ringier's neighbor Blick.

While all other top 10 players gained in March, SRF lost 6 percent, falling off the podium and landing in 5th place. The relatively broad-based SRF lost on all social media channels. On Instagram, around 65,000 interactions compared to the previous month. The NZZ also weakens in March and falls out of the Top10: minus 13 percent, 5 places down - 11th place.

The top posts of the articles show that the Basel killing case, in which a 75-year-old woman stabbed a 7-year-old boy to death, has shaken the population. No less than three articles on this case appear in the top 5.

Storyclash-Ranking: 20 Minuten überholt im Januar Blick https://www.markt-kom.com/en/digital/social-media/storyclash-ranking-20-minuten-uberholt-im-januar-blick/ Wed, Feb 13, 2019 11:58:15 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=109146 media_ch_OG-t

After a long period with Ringier and View-dominance, Tamedia is pushing ahead with 20 minutes once again overtook the competition from Dufourstrasse. The company did not make any particular gains in January, but simply lost less than Blick (-1% vs -7%). That's enough 20 minutes for a month - with only Energy Switzerland ahead of the commuter medium. However, it still has a large lead, which it was even able to increase significantly. Almost 1.2 million interactions 20 minutes in January on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) - but the lead on Blick is only a good 40,000 interactions. 20 minutes - traditionally very active on Facebook with over 1 million interactions - seems to be stepping up its activities on Instagram. These efforts are now paying off.

The fact that the two titles cannot rest on their laurels is shown by the following two places: Izzy This represents an increase of almost 300,000 interactions compared to the previous month, making up two places - and the trend is rising. And also SRF gains a remarkable 11 percent. Swiss radio and television is the most Energy and Izzy is now the third most popular Swiss media brand on Instagram. Places 2 to 5 are so close to each other in January that it will be interesting to see what the ranking will look like in February.

Izzy with a good hand in January

In the top posts, Izzy takes the top two places for the most interactive posts in January. While the sales heart beats faster with number one - it is a paid cooperation with the Benedict Handelsschule - number two documents something that Izzy also seems to have a pretty good handle on how to fool the Swiss media landscape. After the alleged crop circles in the last viral stunt, this time a possible original Banksy caused a stir in Zurich.
