For the SRC, the traditional donation letter remains a key communication tool - especially when immediate impact is required.
The current mailing contains a simple gesture: a single plaster. When it is removed, the appeal for donations appears underneath. The plaster symbolizes first aid - and becomes an invitation to act: When a plaster is no longer enough elsewhere, the SRC is needed.
The campaign reaches households in the six-figure range.

The donation letter is visually based on an international airmail letter. The central message: while you are still reading, the SRC is already at work. The storytelling remains factual and the aim is immediate activation. According to the agency, the campaign reaches households in the six-figure range.
"For the SRC, the physical donation letter is still indispensable - it creates trust and enables independent help, especially where digital channels reach their limits. The collaboration with the agency at the airport shows how precise direct communication can be effective even in saturated markets," said Oliver Bader, Head of the SRC's Grassroots Donors department, in a press release.

The SRC Canton Aargau provides a wide range of services for disadvantaged people in the canton. An important part of this is the 900 or so volunteers who work for the charitable organization. It is precisely these volunteers who are at the center of Blueheart's new campaign for the SRC Canton Aargau. Under the motto "What unites us - we help people in Aargau", various volunteers - from students to pensioners - advertise their commitment to the Aargau Red Cross. Be it as a volunteer, as a member or as a donor.
The agency designed, developed and implemented the campaign for the SRC Canton Aargau. In addition to the poster campaign with three different subjects, the central elements are the landing pagea testimonial film with statements from volunteers, a making-of film, public transport screens and social media ads. The campaign has been on display in Aargau since April 2024 - as an appeal and motivation to stand up for more humanity in the canton.

Stories like that of young Hassan are written by life. Like many other young people, he didn't have an easy start in life and didn't know what to do after his mixed school career. Unaware of the consequences, he almost stumbled his way into working life.
However, the tide turned when a social worker told him about the Red Cross Canton of Zurich's "Health and Social Work Internship". However, the vocational preparation year for entry into nursing with the "SRC nursing assistant" certificate was just the beginning. Hassan then really took off, went his own way and is now studying at a higher technical college for nursing.
Corpmedia has been supporting the Red Cross Canton of Zurich strategically, in an advisory and production capacity in the development and expansion of its evergreen content stock since 2015. The agency has now been commissioned to turn Hassan's story into a film and various Storyworld modules.

The long-standing collaboration between Team Farner and Swiss Transfusion SRC enters the next round. Because people with leukemia and other blood diseases often wait in vain for a vital blood stem cell donation. One reason for this is that there are still too few young people registered in the registry for blood stem cell donations.
A new integrated campaign by Rod Kommunikation, Farner and Blueglass from Team Farner aims to change this and encourage young people in particular to register - and thus give others the chance of a longer life with little effort. Registering for a blood stem cell donation takes just a few minutes and is free of charge.
The campaign can be seen throughout Switzerland on posters, in cinemas, as well as on online advertising media and all popular social media channels.

After twelve years of the "I am a fan" campaign, it was time to give space to something new. For the current umbrella campaign, the SRC did not reinvent itself, but went back to its origins. Because what Henry Dunant, founder of the SRC, once said - "Help without asking whom!" - is still the essence of the SRC's work. And this is precisely what Publicis Zurich has translated into a campaign that is intended to be honest and emotional.
In the campaign, the SRC takes viewers into the everyday lives of its volunteers and employees, focusing on the vulnerable in society. The campaign dramatizes in an unagitated and unposed way: for the SRC, helping is not a question.
The focus of the May launch was on the Swiss domestic market. For this purpose, two subjects on the topics of family support and integration have been implemented so far. The campaign can be seen throughout Switzerland in the relevant languages. It picks up people at popular DOOH locations and in advertisements, but also meets them in the digital space as banners and in social media.
Further subjects are planned in the course of the year: The campaign will gradually depict the SRC's various fields of activity - from support in everyday life to crisis and disaster relief.

The "SRK Aktuell" channel is the first to be launched due to the current situation. In the first episode, emergency aid expert Andrea Schmid has her say. Among other things, she deals with cash distribution in crisis areas. She talks about how the SRC is providing concrete help in Ukraine - and how she personally deals with stressful situations. In the second episode, we speak to child and adolescent psychologist Silvan Holzer from the SRC Outpatient Clinic for Victims of Torture and War. He explains why refugee children long for normality rather than special treatment and what the magic word "Sinopastem" means.
SRK Aktuell is a compact, short information format in the form of an interview podcast. In times of major events such as the war in Ukraine, it answers questions from the public or specialists and provides up-to-date information. The commitment of the SRC and its member organizations, such as the Swiss Life Saving Association and the Samaritan Federation, are presented and current aid is discussed. In conversations with experts and committed SRC volunteers, listeners learn about the work that is being done.
"SRK Engagiert" is intended to get to the bottom of things and is a reportage and research format. This podcast shows the work of the SRC through concrete and personal stories. In "SRK Engagiert", people who are committed to the SRC and those who benefit from its services have their say. It will be launched at a later date. The contributions will be produced with Audiobande.
Responsible at the Swiss Red Cross: Isabelle Roos, SRC office in Berne (Account Manager), Flavia Nicolai, Swiss Samaritan Federation SSB (Head of Marketing and Communications), Janine Wenger, SRC office in Berne (Head of Marketing and PR), Philipp Binaghi, Swiss Life Saving Association SLRG (Marketing and Communications). Hundreds of thousands of people are in need or on the run because of the war in Ukraine and need help. Yesterday, the Swiss private radio landscape showed overwhelming unity for a charitable cause. All radios reported extensively on the emergency throughout the day. Besides the President of the Swiss Confederation Ignazio Cassis, many celebrities such as Lo & Leduc, Beatrice Egli, Dominique Gisin, Stefanie Heinzmann, Stress, Anna Rossinelli, Linda Fäh, Christa Rigozzi and others expressed their solidarity for the people in Ukraine. The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko and his brother Wladimir Klitschko were also heard live from Kiev.
Countless interventions by listeners from the community complemented the program and illustrated the enormous solidarity in Switzerland.
The joint solidarity day of the 31 private radio stations was organized and implemented within a very short time. The presenters mobilized not only on the microphone with a lot of heart and soul, but also on their personal social media channels. Roger Spillmann, Chief Radio Officer at Radio Energy, is overwhelmed: "It is very impressive to see how such a solidarity campaign can be set up with a lot of passion and the combined forces of all private radio stations and the SRC. It makes us overjoyed that we can now help the families in need".
"The situation is becoming more and more dramatic and depresses us all. The huge solidarity shown on yesterday's donation day is enormously appreciated and will be passed on directly to the Ukrainian Red Cross. The help is urgently needed. Many thanks to all private radio stations and to all listeners" says Markus Mader, Director of the Swiss Red Cross.
According to Florian Wanner, Head of Radio at CH Media, expectations were clearly exceeded: "We were able to collect over one million francs in donations for the people in need yesterday. The Swiss have clearly shown their solidarity for Ukraine and sent a clear signal. A big thank you belongs to them."
These Swiss-German private radio stations participated in the Solidarity Day: Radio BeO, Sunshine Radio, Radio Central, Radio Top, Radio Eviva, Toxic FM, Canal 3, neo1, Radio 1, 20 Minuten Radio, Radio Rottu, Radio Zürisee, Radio Südostschweiz, Radio Basilisk, Radio Fribourg, Radio 24, Radio 32, Radio Argovia, Radio Bern1, Radio FM1, Radio Pilatus, Flashback FM, Radio Melody, Virgin Radio, Energy Zürich, Energy Bern, Energy Basel, Energy Luzern, Rockit Radio, Schlager Radio and Vintage Radio.

The goal is donations and emergency aid for the most vulnerable on the ground, the population on the run and families in need. In the border regions, women and children in particular need to be cared for.

The strong branding of the Swiss Red Cross with the cross is known all over the world. The branding guidelines are therefore also very strict - but also rather incomplete until the order to Kargo. The topic "digital" was hardly dealt with in the previous CD manual. For this reason, the SRC commissioned the agency to develop the digital branding with the aim of strengthening the brand in the future on the screen and in all online applications.
Kargo subsequently implemented a digital brand guide and, among other things, laid the foundation for the new web design. New screen-friendly fonts and colors were added to the CD manual to ensure usability.
In addition, design elements were created and a grid defined that can be applied to all online media and formats. This is intended to provide in-house graphic production with a useful toolkit so that it can efficiently create advertising materials independently in the future. The digital brand guide also includes templates for YouTube videos, banner ads, email senders, and social media posts and stories.
In addition to the purely digital media, Kargo also took on the conception and design of the 2019 annual report. The result is an A5 flyer with special folding.
Responsible at the Swiss Red Cross: Isabel Rutschmann (Project Management, Content Manager General Communication & History), Sabine Zeilinger, Head of Communication and Media Spokesperson SRC), Thomas Imboden (Head of Web Office), Natalie Stettler (Head of graphic-print). Migros leads the reputation ranking for the eighth time in a row. Victorinox follows in second place, a new addition to the ranking due to increased awareness. Zweifel takes third place. The ranking for non-profit organizations (NPOs) is once again headed by Rega, ahead of the Swiss Red Cross and the Paraplegic Foundation.
In January and February, GfK conducted a population-representative survey to determine the reputation of the most important Swiss companies and NPOs.
Migros remains the undisputed company with the best reputation among the Swiss population. Dr. Anja Reimer of GfK Switzerland is impressed: "The company achieves top scores above all in terms of social-moral reputation. Here, Migros is more than three percentage points ahead of the second-best company Migros also remains the company with which the Swiss can identify most."
Martin Nellen, Head of Communications & Media, says: "We are extremely pleased about this award and the trust of our customers, especially in this ongoing, stressful time of the Corona pandemic. A big thank you goes to our dedicated employees who are in the thick of things every day as helpful ambassadors for Migros."
In second place comes Victorinox, which was newly included in the ranking this year due to its increased level of awareness. The company achieves top scores in terms of rational appreciation.
Zweifel, Lindt & Sprüngli and Ricola are followed by three consumer goods manufacturers in third to fifth place. Coop improved by one rank and is now in sixth place, followed by Rivella and Geberit. Mobiliar moved up three places and is now in the top 10. Emmi remains in 10th place.
Rega comes out on top again in the NPO ranking
Among the non-profit organizations, Swiss Air-Rescue Rega leads the ranking for the fourth time in a row, followed by the Swiss Red Cross and the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation. Commenting on the award, Karin Hörhager, Head of Communications and Patrons at Rega, says: "We would like to thank the public for their great support and the trust they have placed in us. All Rega employees are very pleased about this and it spurs us on to continue working tirelessly for a modern, nationwide air rescue service in Switzerland that puts the well-being of patients first."
Fairtrade Max Havelaar improved its ranking by two places and is now in fourth place. Doctors without Borders, Spitex Schweiz, Schweizer Berghilfe, TCS, WWF and Pro Senectute follow in the other ranks.

In the Redcross Challenge, game players could duel against celebrities and learn facts about development cooperation in the process (Werbewoche.ch reported). The online quiz of the Swiss Red Cross has been played almost 40,000 times in the past six months. Over 75,000 interested people have accessed the Redcross Challenge website.
"These are gratifying figures," says Katharina Schindler, Head of Communications International Cooperation at the SRC. More than 80 percent of those who played completed the quiz, which speaks for high quality and fun. "The aim was to convey facts and encourage young people to think about development cooperation issues," concludes Schindler.
With its awareness-raising work, the SRC demonstrates the positive impact of development cooperation. The goal was achieved: The players spent 328 hours dealing with questions on development cooperation. This is the equivalent, for example, of a train journey from Bern to Zurich with 328 passengers playing the quiz incessantly on their smartphones for an hour, answering over 152,000 questions.
"We are very happy with the qualitative elements of the results. They are pretty much exactly what we were aiming for in the pitch at the end of 2019. Various insights that can be gained from the quiz data are also exciting. A small, non-representative insight into the knowledge level of those playing, so to speak," says Moritz Friess from Feinheit. The social media game ran primarily on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels.
