More than 700 industry guests flocked to the sold-out Halle 622 in Zurich-Oerlikon to celebrate the upcoming programming highlights together with more than 40 broadcasters. The event featured a screening marathon that impressively demonstrated what «Total Video» means in practice: It’s no longer just about the device itself, but rather about an unwavering focus on excellently produced content of the highest caliber—from captivating storytelling to visually striking fiction and emotionally charged shows, all the way to uncompromising quality journalism.

Especially at a time when skepticism toward fleeting, algorithm-driven social media snippets is growing in the advertising market, the synergy between a compelling visual and compelling content proves its true value. When technically brilliant storytelling meets genuine emotion, it creates those “campfire moments” that combine reach with lasting impact and guarantee brands a trustworthy, safe environment. It was precisely this spirit—a determined blend of optimism, creative innovation, and big content—that screen-up 2026 embodied from the very first minute to the very last.. A glimpse from the front lines—between the stage, the backstage camera, and the Bavarian Oktoberfest atmosphere.
The event kicked off with the two CEOs of the hosting organizations, Frank Zelger (Admeira) and Alexander Duphorn (Goldbach Media). Immediately afterward, at the first Goldbach Screening, Duphorn delivered a brilliantly performed, almost theatrical masterpiece, as usual: In the «Den of the Advertising Lions,» he sought the formula for maximum advertising impact—and found it on the big screen.
Under the tagline «TV is Total Video» Duphorn made it unmistakably clear where things are headed: linear television, replay ads, and online video are converging on a measurable level. With TV+, Goldbach offers convergent campaign measurement across all platforms. Later, during a backstage discussion, a visibly pleased Duphorn summed up the situation:
«The general consensus today was: It's all about content. And that content is no longer limited to TV—it's available on many platforms. But everyone delivered and presented blockbuster shows.»

With tremendous self-confidence, RTL Deutschland then moved forward: The stage was transformed into a live studio for «Let’s Dance». Led by Oliver Schablitzki (EVP Channels, Windowing & Planning), the dreaded head judge Joachim Llambi and the legendary voice-over Patrick Linke, there was fast-paced infotainment.
On the subject of fiction, Schablitzki announced his passion project, «Heidi» – a major co-production with SRF for spring 2027, in which 13-year-old Néea Hefti plays the title role. Also featured is the unconventional Goethe-Schiller «bromance,» *Goethe vs. Schiller*», the eternal bachelor Paul Janke («Paul’s Second Chance») and all the excitement of sports, from the Bundesliga to the NFL.
The emotional highlight came from professional dancers Renata and Valentin Lusin, who swept across the dance floor with a rousing live performance. During the m&k backstage talk that followed, the RTL duo was in high spirits: While Joachim Llambi jokingly compared Swiss coffee prices to the cost of a potential move to Zurich, Oliver Schablitzki emphasized the central importance of the live segment:
«Of course, sports are very important to the program.". Now also in partnership with Sky. People want events; people want to experience live sports. We offer all of that—not just soccer, Formula 1, or MMA."
Immediately afterward, it showed Thorsten Braun, CEO of RTLZWEI, said that his network covers the full spectrum from trash to depth: While eight celebrities work up a sweat on a Swiss alp in the new show «Working on the Alp—Cows, Cheese, and Hard Labor», the network tackles the taboo subject of euthanasia with the Swiss production «Auf Wiedersehen Leben».
Under the motto «We are Family,» CH Media set off a spectacular fireworks display. She hosted the event in her usual professional, warm, and confident manner Christa Rigozzi the slot. With Florian Wanner (Head of Regional Electronic Media and Entertainment) spoke about the Wanners' responsibility as a family-owned business.
In an m&k interview backstage, Wanner highlighted the strategic balancing act:
«CH Media Mind is strongly focused on marketing concepts. We make full use of our entire range of media and are the only media company that truly offers all genres. The combination of regional relevance and national entertainment is our strength.»

On stage, they presented Malte Probst (Head of National TV) the 20th anniversary of 3+, while Martin Bloch (Head of Channel Management & Analytics) highlighted the recent rebranding of the entire network under the umbrella brand 3+. The new host of «Sing meinen Song» gave the audience goosebumps Stefanie Heinzmann and singer-songwriter Eileen Alister, former regional editor-in-chief Oliver Steffen and producer Abbie Ramakrishnan introduced the «#Street SMART» format. The drag queens Nicoletta and Hardila Lalove provided a colorful finale.

SWISS1 followed with sharp wit: Comedian Sven Ivanić got the audience fired up with a traditional accordion quiz and had them guess the radio stations. Backstage, m&k met Alexandra Kronshagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SWISS1:
«We are one of the top 3 private broadcasters in Switzerland". Our goal is right there in our name: We want to be number one. We’re all about working those laugh muscles, feeling good, and providing the best entertainment – From Schwingen to comedy."

After the first intermission, the stage belonged to the Seven. One Entertainment Group. Janitor Sebastian Pufpaff guided us through the multi-story «Entertainment Factory» in his inimitable, mischievous, and over-the-top style». Supported by Marc Rasmus (Joyn SAT.1 Network President) and the «Celebrity Big Brother» icons Marlene Lufen and Jochen Schropp, we went through the Reality, Factual, and Show sections.
Hannes Hiller (Head of Joyn at ProSieben) presented shows such as «Catch Us» and the long-running hit «Germany’s Next Topmodel». The Swiss head of state Andrea Haemmerli proudly announced local Joyn original productions such as «Hype Kitchen». Backstage, Haemmerli explained:
«Brands become part of the story. At Hype Kitchen, we integrate sponsors organically into the plot rather than just tacking them on at the beginning.»
The young prospect wrapped up the segment ILKO («The Voice Kids») with a powerful vocal performance.
From French-speaking Switzerland came Catherine Schofer (M6) and Emmanuel Maze-Sencier (TF1) Strong signals for the advertising market in Western Switzerland—TF1 is launching, among other things, its TV series and movie spin-off, TF1 Séries-Films, in Switzerland. In the interview, Maze-Sencier emphasized the importance of the Swiss screen-up for direct communication with advertisers.
The SRG, under the direction of Admeira, delivered what was arguably the most spectacular and dramatically intense segment to close the show. In a tongue-in-cheek parody of «Mission: Impossible,» the host Nik Hartmann in a tuxedo on «Mission SRG» – conceived and produced by the producer Marc Schippert.
Sports kicked things off with Annette Fetscherin and the player with the most national team appearances Ana Maria Crnogorčević, who looked back on the year in sports and the Women's European Soccer Championship. After that, we headed to the news section to meet the «Tagesschau» anchor Cornelia Boesch, which underscored the indispensable value of reliable, high-quality journalism in the age of disinformation.
Things took a serious turn and became highly relevant to the industry during the impromptu «Gredig direkt»: Urs Gredig interviewed the new SRF director Roger Elsener On Transformation, Cost-Cutting Measures, and Digital Transformation. In a backstage interview with m&k, Elsener came across as combative:
«I'm incredibly proud of the team—that was a great job. Next year's lineup is packed with highlights across all genres. We make television from Switzerland for Switzerland—and linear reach remains a major pillar, while we continue to grow steadily in the digital space.»
The fact that television can also be physically demanding was subsequently demonstrated by Rainer-Maria Salzgeber and former triathlete Jan van Berkel: They raced each other on two exercise bikes to figure out the melodies of Swiss hits (including songs by Bligg and Baschi)—coached by Salzgeber’s daughter Cloé, in which he appears on camera for a celebrity special of «Game of Switzerland». Salzgeber narrowly lost the match 1–2—much to his daughter’s glee, as both confirmed with a laugh in the backstage video.
Following a performance by Nicole Berchtold and the Landfrauen («SRF bi de Lüt») introduced the new national head of fiction Gabriela De Gara outlined the upcoming series milestones—including the international Sherlock Holmes adaptation and the co-production «Heidi». A fashion-related side note: To match her appearance at the Locarno Film Festival, she wore sneakers with a striking leopard-print design.
When Frank Zelger and Alexander Duphorn returned to the stage together after nearly four hours of entertainment to send the audience off to the legendary After-Show-Wiesn, the relief and excitement in the hall were palpable.
Admeira CEO Frank Zelger aptly summed up the mood backstage:
«This has clearly underscored the importance of in-depth content, credibility, and quality. That is exactly what the advertising market is looking for: trustworthy environments where brands can shine without hesitation.»
Outside in the Wiesn foyer, amid pretzels, beer, and Schlager music, people talked and partied late into the night. screen-up 2026 proved it: Moving images are alive and well; they’re changing rapidly, yet their pulse is stronger than ever. An industry has shown its passion—and made a strong statement about the future of Total Video.

Under oversized flowers, between Cheshire cat holograms and furniture overgrown with ivy, advertisers, agency staff and media met for the biggest Swiss TV day. Hosts Admeira and Goldbach served coffee creations, ice cream and sandwiches under a giant balloon in the hall. And in a Rabbit Hole, a photo action provided the best entertainment.
Shortly after midday, the starting signal was given for the first of three show blocks. The two managing directors of the hosts, Alexander Duphorn, CEO Goldbach Media, and Frank Zelger, CEO Admeira, welcomed the visitors as follows: "The Future is now. With this, they alluded not only to many new TV programs, but also, among other things, to the expanded measurement of TV, the introduction of replay ads at the beginning of October, and a new TV planning tool.
At the beginning of the event, the guests at the screen-up were immersed in the screening of the channels marketed by Admeira. Things got underway with the SRG channels. Danitsa, the SRF Best Talent winner from Geneva, opened the screening with a powerful voice. The two show blocks of the stations marketed by Goldbach kicked off with the traditional Goldbach video. This year's video is all about "Replay". In the video, Goldbach Media CEO Alexander Duphorn shows how it would look in real life if people could press the rewind or pause button at will - analogous to TV - and thus gain additional time. His message was unmistakable: TV is and remains not only attractive, but also number one when it comes to moving images. Replay ads can reach even more people than before.
The following show block of CH Media was moderated by Marco Fritsche. On stage, the audience favorite welcomed, among others, CEO Roger Elsener and Swiss film director Michael Steiner. The hosts were delighted with the event. Alexander Duphorn: "The broadcasters didn't promise too much when they said they were investing a lot in new ideas. But to be honest, the news that the Replay Ads will be launched as a real market solution in two weeks' time after a lot of effort outweighs everything else for me. This will revolutionize our industry. The first ads are just the beginning."
Frank Zelger from Admeira is also enthusiastic: "The screen-up proves once again that TV is the best as well as most complete live medium and provides strong emotions for all age groups. The starting signal was given shortly after 1 pm: Alexander Duphorn, CEO of Goldbach Media, and Frank Zelger, CEO of Admeira, welcomed the guests in Hall 622 and the viewers who followed the TV highlights from their personal screens. The numbers speak for themselves: TV has played a significant role in the crisis. And so the CEOs of the two organizers concluded their welcoming address with a positive outlook: "We start this year's screen-up with confidence, new forms of advertising, content with attitude and entertainment."
As already known from previous screenings, the broadcasters pulled out all the entertainment stops again this year. Various live acts accompanied the station presentations.
Luca Hänni opened the Seven. One Entertainment Group show with his hit "She got me," announcing another season of "The Masked Singer Switzerland" starting in November 2021 on ProSieben Schweiz. Together with "Switzerland's next Topmodel," whose third season is already running, this is their biggest production in Switzerland. Sat.1 announces "All together now," a new music show. The program is already running in 14 countries, and Sat.1 is bringing it to Switzerland next year.
For CH, Stress sang his way through the rows of viewers, announcing the next season of "Sing meinen Song". The dating show "Der Bachelor" is joined by "First Dates" and "Master Chef," which were announced at the screen-up. For series fans, the fourth season of "SEAL Team" will arrive on 5+ in October, the eighth season of "The Blacklist" on S1 in November and the fourth season of "The Good Doctor" on TV25 from February 2022. CH Media punctuated its appearance with several Swiss musicians at once.
Sports fans, and especially soccer fans, will definitely not miss out in the next TV season. 3+ will show selected UEFA Champions League matches, including the grand final. TV24 will broadcast 14 UEFA Europa League matches, including the final, and 15 European Qualifier matches. From the 2022/2023 season, viewers can expect to see the Swiss national soccer team's matches live on 3+.
When it comes to top football on Blue, the experts Gilbert Gress and Roman Kilchsperger are not to be missed. In a live call into the Blue studio, they chatted with various experts from the station about the upcoming program, which includes all matches from the Credit Suisse Super League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Spanish LaLiga Santander, Italian Serie A, English Premier League, as well as top matches from French Ligue 1 Uber Eats and the new UEFA Europa Conference League.
Luca Hänni was followed by another Eurovision star, Gjon's Tears. The French-speaking Swiss was the surprise guest at SRG's screening. In addition to evergreens like "Auf und davon," their broadcasters have several new productions at the start. Viewers can also look forward to free TV premieres such as "Platzspitzbaby" and "Bruno Manser. In addition to the "Eurovision Song Contest," new formats such as "Stadt Land Talent," "SRF bi de Lüt LIVE," "10 ans des deux Vincents," "La vie de JC" and "Via col Venti" will provide entertainment on SRG stations.

As another musical highlight, Ritschi and band led into the screening of TRC.
It's all about emotion and adrenaline as usual for the RTL media group. The search for "Supertalent" is already in its 15th season on RTL. "Date or Drop" is the name of the new dating show on RTL, where good looks are of no use to anyone. The only things that matter here are the singles' answers and their voices. VOX presents "Princess Charming," a lesbian dating show for the first time. RTLZWEI accompanies the Kelly Family in the tour bus on a journey through the most important milestones of their career.
The French Group M6 also focuses on strong emotions. Various new series and lots of entertainment are on the program. C8 calls itself a "feel-good channel" and lives up to this promise with many topics from viewers' everyday lives and entertainment programs such as the one-direction program "M comme Maison.
The organizers are satisfied with this year's screen-up. Frank Zelger, CEO Admeira, puts it in a nutshell: "Trust and entertainment - that's TV!". Duphorn adds: "TV continues to be the medium with the strongest advertising, which was again confirmed by the interest shown by customers and agencies. With the Replay Ads, we are ensuring relevance for TV in the future as well."
The online streaming of the event will be available online in individual videos following the event. Interested parties can view the contributions for 30 days on Screen-up.ch View
Admission to the event took place in compliance with the safety requirements of the Federal Office of Public Health.

Under current conditions, it would not be possible to provide a great event experience without posing a safety risk to guests, broadcasters and players, according to a statement issued Thursday.
However, the organizers are working on an alternative concept so that the upcoming TV highlights and insights on market developments can still be shown, it adds. Further information will be announced in due course.
The twentieth edition of Screen-up is over - and it was, as they say, "bang and grind" in Hall 622 in Oerlikon. More than 1,000 guests from TV production, marketing and advertising met for the industry get-together, which in its usual manner favored good entertainment over hard numbers.
The latter may have its reasons: The medium of TV is coming under pressure and has to defend its pole position in the media mix more and more. Against this backdrop, the narrative of "special effectiveness" is always given a certain (over)emphasis at relevant events; CPMs and the like tend to be left out. Instead, a bit of TV romanticism is allowed, including a best-of of old commercials from the "golden age".
But behind this, of course, there is a calculation. Because the makers of Screen-up have understood one thing quite cleverly and have meanwhile perfected the implementation: You don't throw Excel sheets at advertisers, you pick them up where they want to meet their own customers - with their feelings.
SRG: Sports, entertainment and politics
In 2020, SRG with its enterprise units SRF, RTS and RSI is focusing on international sporting events, among other things: Live events such as Uefa Euro 2020, the Summer Olympics in Tokyo or the Ice Hockey World Cup in their own country, as well as the Swiss Federal Anniversary Wrestling Festival, should ensure very good reach, according to those responsible.
Entertainment formats such as "SRF bi de Lüt," "Happy Day" and the new six-part series "Frieden" also get underway. And: Once again, SRG is dedicating itself to its public service mission by broadcasting and classifying global issues - such as the 2020 elections in the USA or the 2019 elections in Switzerland.
RTL: Live television, but please be creative
RTL also wants to prepare various approaches to creative live television for the coming season. In addition to the live show "Die Passion," these include a live documentary of open-heart surgery as the highlight of a theme day.
RTL also has two drama series in its quiver, "Der König von Palma" and "Faking Hitler," which are based on true events.
3-plus group: casting in every variation
Casting shows remained high on the screen-up, with the 3-Plus Group in particular focusing on them. In addition to popular formats like "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette" and "Bauer, ledig, sucht...," the station group is now bringing "The Voice" back to Switzerland. 3 Plus unceremoniously transformed the stage of the screen-up into "The Voice" studio for the occasion: Anna Rossinelli and Noah Veraguth as jury members presented a duet.
Romandie: A lot of feeling and "French charm
In addition to German-language TV stations, French-language stations also presented their highlights. TF1 Group, the private station group with the highest audience share in French-speaking Switzerland, relies on in-house productions such as "A Mother Commits a Bank Robbery" and spikes its programming "with French charm and a lot of emotion.
The French M6 Group is also about strong feelings. In addition to various series and formats for the whole family, M6 will produce a novelty with "Qui veut être mon associe? The French adaptation of "Die Höhle der Löwen" is expected to be a successful format that will interest many viewers.

Max Mutzke and the Goldbach bosses
Various presenters and TV celebrities then led the audience through the day in a correspondingly emotional manner - sometimes wittily, sometimes with a good deal of pathos.
The program highlights that the broadcasters are planning for 2020 are clearly summarized below. Admittedly, the highlights of this screen-up edition took place rather live: Max Mutzke took to the stage, presenting the format's expansion into Switzerland as the freshly crowned "Masked Singer" winner. The popular singer with the unmistakable voice was well received and a successful surprise.
Speaking of surprise: Alexander Duphorn and Michi Frank, the omnipresent Goldbach bosses, showed great courage in self-irony and advertising irony and had themselves mounted in various classic spots.
Duphorn, for example, shines as a Coca-Cola delivery man in a female-staffed office, Frank was pleased that his blond wig kept its shape even in the storm (you know...hairspray!). In the end, both came together as Gian and Giachen in the Swiss mountains. And you couldn't help but think: for all the impressive show, this humorous bit was actually the greatest cinema of all.

Beautiful people and lots of skin were on display at the 3 Plus Group. Channel boss Dominik Kaiser filled the stage with the candidates from the casting of the Miss Switzerland pageant, which will be broadcast on 3+ for the first time next year. Presented by the comedy duo Unterbüsser, the SRG stations ended the screenings with champagne, dancing and varied in-house productions. Viewers can look forward, among other things, to the crime series "Wilder," which will bring suspense to Swiss living rooms starting in November.

More than 900 guests from the media and advertising industries flocked to the Maag Halle, where TV stations presented their programming highlights and strategies for the coming year. The drama about the historic tunnel construction will be broadcast as a two-parter on SRF in December. Musical entertainment was provided by singer Nickless.

The stations TMC, NT1 and S1 also rely on strong in-house formats such as the new series "Schweiz Pur" on S1, which impresses with fascinating nature footage from Switzerland. The second screening block was rounded off by AZ Medien TV and presenter Markus Gilli, who chatted with Mario Fehr, President of the Canton of Zurich, Christoph Mörgeli, former SVP National Councilor, and FDP National Councilor Doris Fiala in his "Sonntalk".

Host Annemarie Carpendale presented the highlights of the SevenOne Media stations in a special screen-up edition of the show "Taff," for which she brought Andrea Haemmerli on stage, among others. The managing director of SevenOne Media in Switzerland was especially pleased with the good start of Swiss station Puls8, which has established itself in the market after a year. "The Voice" winner Jamie Lee provided goosebump moments with a short performance and great voice.

In a brilliant finale with fireworks and a shower of glittering confetti, Dominik Kaiser and his team celebrated the tenth anniversary of the 3 Plus Group. Viewers can already look forward to the new "Bachelor" Janosch Nietlispach, who will be searching for the big love on 3 Plus from October 10. Afterwards, there were celebrations at a live concert by singer Seven and at the afterparty. Screen-up will take place in 2017 on September 28.

Around 1,000 interested parties from the TV, advertising and media industries celebrated Swiss TV Day at Zurich's sold-out Kaufleuten, according to a statement. Experience transmitters up close
Some of the stations presented themselves on site in their own style: Dmax, the men's brand on German television, asked male and female visitors to join them for a schnapps around the campfire in their Tuxedo Corner. Joiz waited in its own Living Room for guests and celebrities to chat with them on the couch. And at Comedy Central, a caricaturist captured all the emotions written on visitors' faces after the screenings.
Familiar faces and surprise guests
Once again this year, the station executives did not come to Zurich alone, but brought along illustrious surprise guests such as presenter and ex-Miss Schweiz Christa Rigozzi, singer Baschi, TV chef René Schudel, actor Mike Müller, cabaret artist David Bröckelmann and medium Pascal Voggenhuber in addition to the exciting screenings. The presenters who accompanied the audience through the screenings from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. were Steven Gätjen (Prosieben), Rainer Maria Salzgeber (SRF) and Marco Fritsche (3+). Michèle Bircher, the winner of "The Voice Kids 2013," enchanted the guests - and Steven Gätjen, who presented her to the audience.
New transmitters for Switzerland
Sevenone announced Swiss advertising windows for its new stations ProSieben Maxx and Sat.1.Gold for mid-2014. As already reported in the media, Dominik Kaiser is launching his new family station 5+ early next year (Werbewoche.ch reported).
MTV Aftershow Party with Live Act Fiji from Switzerland
The MTV Aftershow Party brought a Swiss live act to the Kaufleuten stage this year. Fiji (picture) presents soft electro-pop atmospheres with surprisingly creative ideas. The voice of Simone de Lorenzi convinces and gets under the skin. Very nicely the musical idols like Les Rita Mitsouko, Goldfrapp and Grace Jones. permeate the sound: an exciting musical mixture, which leads to the Fiji sound with many own ideas. At a late hour Remady and Manu-L presented by Prosieben heated up the last night owls.
