For the first time since its inception 16 years ago, the TV show Video Gang has moved from the afternoon program to the evening program on Schaffhausen television. Video Gang will now be repeated every hour on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm until 1:30 pm on Wednesdays. SHf editor-in-chief Noëlle Guidon on the new slot: "As we don't have a specific youth program on SHf, we want to make our program more attractive to a younger audience with Video Gang."
Video Gang is delighted about the more attractive broadcasting slot and would like to focus even more on the Schaffhausen region. Since June 2011, Schaffhausen television has been broadcasting from the new studio, according to a press release issued on Wednesday. In a second phase, the aim is now to diversify the program and make it more attractive. The concept of the political program deserves special mention: Florian Hotz and Florian Keller have been invited to take on the role of host as active politicians and discuss current affairs and background information on politics with guests. The guests invite each other and thus shed light on the topics from two political sides.
According to announcements, the four special broadcasts in the "Heute im Gespräch" program will also be interesting for the time being. Matthias Wipf invites prominent guests to Schloss Laufen for a discussion followed by dinner. The programs are open to the public.
In addition to the regular program, Schaffhausen Television will be present at important events and increasingly realize productions in cooperation with freelancers or other broadcasters/companies.
The move to the new location would create important synergy effects for the broadcaster, which has to finance itself entirely without license fee money. These would only affect the infrastructure area; the editorial team of Schaffhausen Television would continue to work independently.
The move was accompanied by a renewal of the entire broadcasting technology at Schaffhauser Fernsehen. The entire production of the broadcasts is now completely digitalized and in 16:9 format. In addition to improving the sound and picture quality, a modern, multifunctional studio and a revised appearance will ensure a contemporary appearance. The entire new concept was largely developed and implemented by the SHf team itself.
