At the heart of this strategy is the further development of OneDSP, the booking platform for digital advertising in Switzerland launched in September 2025. OneDSP gives advertisers efficient, data protection-compliant and overlap-free access to the premium inventory of the largest Swiss publishers - CH Media, NZZ, Ringier and TX Group - centrally, transparently and independently of international tech platforms.
The expansion of OneID will also be further accelerated in order to increase reach and integrate additional high-quality websites. The aim is to provide the total reach of over 3 million users on the advertising inventory of CH Media, NZZ, Ringier and TX Group as well as other publishers that are integrated via their marketers. Integration into the transparency and consent framework of IAB Europe ensures compliance with modern data protection standards.
With their joint advertising ecosystem, the partners are prioritizing a solution that gives advertisers simple, efficient and privacy-compliant access to premium inventory across all major Swiss media companies. At the same time, the initiative takes readers' concerns for greater data protection and transparency seriously and places them at the heart of the solution.
Instead of the originally planned joint login model (OneLog), the media companies are now focusing consistently on building this strong, independent advertising ecosystem.
As part of the strategic realignment, the Board of Directors of OneLog AG will also be reconstituted in October 2025. The composition of the Board of Directors reflects the partnership between the media companies involved: Ringier is represented by Dr. Patrick Rademacher (Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, member of the Management Board of Ringier Media Switzerland) and Dr. Markus Wirth (Chief Operating Officer (COO), member of the Management Board of Ringier Media Switzerland from autumn). Dr. Markus Wirth will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors of OneLog AG. Thomas Spiegel (CEO Goldbach Digital) and Dr. Tanja zu Waldeck (Chief Operating Officer TX Group) will represent the TX Group. CH Media will be represented by Thomas Wegmann (Head of Publishing, member of the CH Media Executive Board) and NZZ by Remo Baumeler (CEO of audienzz).
Allianz sees this realignment as an important step towards strengthening the competitiveness of the Swiss advertising market.
Dr. Markus Wirth, COO Ringier Media Switzerland, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OneLog AG: "The media landscape is changing rapidly. We are setting the course for a successful future by pooling the strengths of the leading Swiss media companies and creating a strong, independent digital advertising ecosystem. As Chairman of the Board of Directors, I look forward to actively supporting this process."
Dr. Tanja zu Waldeck, COO TX Group: "Data protection and transparency are key for us. Thomas Spiegel, CEO Goldbach Digital: "The digital advertising market is dynamic and highly competitive. By expanding the advertising ecosystem, we are offering advertising customers flexible and innovative solutions that give them a real competitive edge. In this way, we are responding to the needs of the market in a targeted manner and creating a sustainable offering."
Dr. Patrick Rademacher, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, Member of the Executive Board of Ringier Media Switzerland: "The joint advertising ecosystem bundles the innovative strength of Swiss media companies in the field of advertising technology. We are thus creating a solution that will sustainably strengthen the Swiss advertising market. On the Board of Directors, I will be particularly committed to its strategic development."
Thomas Wegmann, Head of Publishing, Member of the Executive Board CH Media: "With OneDSP, we simplify the purchasing of digital campaigns across different media companies and ensure that more advertising budgets remain in the Swiss market and benefit local media."
Remo Baumeler, CEO of audienzz and representative of NZZ: "The joint advertising ecosystem is an investment in the future of the Swiss advertising market. We are convinced that we are promoting innovation and growth with this initiative and actively shaping the digital transformation of the industry."

Following a cyber sabotage, users can once again register for the joint login tool of several Swiss media and publishing houses: When registering for OneLog on the websites of the respective brands (e.g. Blick), users are automatically prompted to set a new password during the login process. The user then receives a password reset email from OneLog.
Beware of phishing: OneLog will not send such a request to users by email without the user actively initiating the login beforehand. This also applies to the individual media brands and other partners (e.g. JobCloud) that use OneLog.
As always, users should choose a unique, strong password for each application and service. This is the only way to ensure the security of other accounts even if a single password is compromised - for which OneLog still has no evidence. Instead, OneLog assumes an act of cyber sabotage; the investigation into the act of cyber sabotage is currently being continued with the involvement of the relevant authorities.

The cyberattack on OneLog, the central login system of the Swiss Digital Alliance—an association of the country’s largest media and publishing companies—continues to cause uncertainty. Since Thursday, October 24, 2024, users have been unable to log in to services offered by Ringier and TX Group, while affected content—including paywall articles and e-papers—is temporarily available for free. For NZZ and CH Media, which have not yet introduced OneLog, there are no restrictions. As stated in the second announcement, while analyses of the attack are ongoing, no concrete results have been presented. It therefore remains unclear whether user data fell into the hands of third parties.
OneLog’s operations and processes are designed in accordance with strict data protection guidelines, as the Swiss Digital Alliance emphasizes. Since the attack came to light, OneLog has been in close contact with authorities in Switzerland and the EU and is committed to communicating as transparently as possible. The incident is particularly controversial because OneLog is intended to offer a local, privacy-compliant alternative to the major international tech platforms, whose data-intensive strategies are often criticized by Swiss publishing houses.
Due to the ongoing investigation, no further details can be disclosed at this time. OneLog and the publishers involved emphasize that they are committed to a swift resolution and a thorough investigation. Further information will follow as soon as possible.

On October 24, 2024, the OneLog login tool, which is used jointly by CH Media, NZZ, Ringier and the TX Group, was the target of a cyber attack. Since then, the login and registration functions have been deactivated, which means that associated services such as the comment function are also temporarily unavailable. Only the NZZ and CH Media titles remain unaffected, as they have not yet implemented the OneLog solution.
OneLog only manages users' login data; according to current knowledge, no other data appears to be at risk. OneLog is working together with the media companies involved to restore the services as soon as possible and is in close contact with the authorities.
OneLog and its partners focus on transparency and fast information. As soon as the services are available again, the public will be informed immediately.

The OneLog joint venture (JV) founded by TX Group and Ringier 2021, which operates the single sign-on solution of the same name, is already being used by more than 40 Swiss media brands - CH Media and NZZ also joined the joint venture at the end of December 2022. In the course of this, 15 newspaper titles of CH Media, including the Aargauer newspaper, the Lucerne Newspaper and the St. Galler Tagblatt, OneLog to be launched in the second half of 2023 at the earliest, the New Zurich Newspaper and the NZZ on Sunday from the end of 2023.
Roland Kühne (CEO a.i. and COO CH Media) and Andreas Bossecker (Chief Technology Innovation Officer NZZ) have joined the Board of Directors of OneLog. The Jonit venture is intended to make it easier for the participating media companies to continuously develop and improve their offerings and to align them even more closely to the needs of the user community. For a seamless and cross-device user experience - as it is also known from the big tech platforms - it is necessary that users are recognized by means of a login. OneLog was designed in close coordination with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner as well as the Data Protection Officers of the participating houses along Swiss data protection guidelines. In addition, and where applicable, the data protection laws of the European Union are also taken into account. There is no exchange of data among the participating media companies.
The previous OneLog VP Marc Walder (CEO Ringier) and OneLog Vice VP Pietro Supino (Chairman of the Board of Directors TX Group) have resigned from the board. The two initiators of the Swiss Digital Alliance have been campaigning for a joint single sign-on solution for the Swiss media industry for years. Their common goal is for users to be logged in to the respective media titles and thus verified. Numerous digital offerings with an outstanding user-friendliness that is appreciated by users - such as Netflix, Instagram, or Spotify - have registration as an access requirement. This user-friendliness is based predominantly on the login.
