NZZ Media Services AG, which includes the newspaper printing plants in St. Gallen and Lucerne, the central prepress and logistics of the NZZ Media Group, will be managed by Michael Fingerhuth on an interim basis from February. He has been Head of Marketing and Sales for the NZZ Media Group's newspaper printing plants for six years.

Heinz Meyer, who has worked for Multicolor Print for ten years, is taking over as Managing Director with immediate effect. As Deputy Managing Director, he managed the sales activities of the commercial printing company in Baar for many years. He has also been responsible for Multicolor Print's operational business activities as Co-Head since 2017.

Daniel Ettlinger, Head of Publishing Services, Print and Electronic Media, will leave the NZZ Media Group at the end of January to take up the position as CEO of Rheintal Medien.

The contracts for a total volume of 2.1 million copies per week were concluded for a term of three years.

The contracts were put out to tender again at the beginning of the year and the offers were examined in an extensive evaluation process. "The overall packages from Tamedia and NZZ convinced us. We are looking forward to the upcoming cooperation," says Rolf Hauser, Head of Publishing.

Migros Media is the media house of Migros. With Migros Magazine in German-speaking Switzerland and Migros Magazine in French-speaking Switzerland, they produce Switzerland's second-largest weekly newspaper with a circulation of around 2.1 million copies. The Migusto cooking magazine, the Vivai feel-good and sustainability magazine, the online platforms of the Migros magazines, and corporate publishing services complete the portfolio.

Through this close cooperation, the NZZ Media Group aims to enable it to offer its customers cross-media solutions. NZZ Media Services bundles the services of all production companies of the NZZ Media Group: Multicolor Print, Multidigital, Bmedien, Beagdruck, Tagblatt Print and LZ Print. The offering ranges from newspaper and commercial printing to web and social media solutions, according to the statement.

"With the establishment of NZZ Media Services, we can offer our customers production solutions from a single source regardless of whether they publish online or in print," says Michael Fingerhuth, Head of Marketing and Sales.

As the NZZ Media Group announced in response to an inquiry from Werbewoche, no jobs will be lost as a result of the bundling - all six production companies will remain independent and unchanged. (hae/pd)
