René Staebe joins Novo Nordisk Switzerland

René Staebe has been Senior Manager Public Affairs & Communications at Novo Nordisk Switzerland since February 2026. The Zurich-based communications expert brings more than 20 years of international experience from various industries, cultures and corporate environments. In his new role, René Staebe and his team are responsible for the strategic PR positioning of the Swiss affiliate - with a particular focus on the social debate surrounding obesity in Switzerland.

His career began at Procter & Gamble, where he initially worked as a product developer in research and development. He discovered early on what really drives him: making complex topics accessible and making the invisible visible. This drive accompanied him through Philip Morris International to Japan Tobacco International, where, most recently as Corporate Affairs & Communications Leader, he spent more than a decade helping managers, teams and organizations find their authentic voice.

Strategic communication with a social mission

At Novo Nordisk Switzerland, Staebe's declared aim is not to make the company louder, but bolder and more visible. Anne Mette Wiis Vogelsang, General Manager Novo Nordisk Switzerland, comments on the appointment as follows: «With René Staebe, we are gaining a communications professional with heart and strategic vision.
