Nau media AG is opening a new chapter in the digital advertising market: Nau.ch is the first website in Switzerland to implement a full-page takeover. The innovative advertising format makes it possible to present the entire website with the look and feel of a single brand.

On Wednesday, Nau.ch was presented entirely in the Sunrise design. The special feature: even the cursor appears with the Sunrise logo, making the brand world not only visually tangible, but also tactile.

"With the full-page takeover, we create a stage for brands that guarantees maximum attention and arouses emotions," explains Timon Grüssi, Senior Key Account Manager at Nau media AG.

The new premium advertising format can be booked exclusively via Nau Advertising. This gives advertisers the opportunity to place their brand prominently and effectively in the editorial environment of Nau.ch - embedded in a journalistic environment with high reach and credibility.

"I'm looking forward to the fusion of digital out of home and online," says Pascal Weder, "and of course to further developing and strengthening the Nau brand." For this task, the 32-year-old brings many years of experience with well-known publishers such as Admeira, Cash and Goldbach. He also completed an EMBA in Brand&Marketing Management a few months ago.

Weder strengthens as new Head of Sales at the online news portal Nau the team around Dragan Dojcinovic, Chief Commercial Officer CCO at Livesystems. "Pascal will be instrumental in helping us to drive Nau forward in the advertising market," says Dojcinovic. His 30-plus-strong sales team serves advertisers and agencies with flexible offerings across the full range of digital outdoor advertising and online products. They are gathered under the umbrella of Livesystems Holding and include the online news portal Nau, Passengertv, the screens in public transport, Gasstationtv, the screens at gas stations and Cityscreen in public spaces.

The online platform Nau consists of a young editorial team of 45, was founded on October 18, 2017 and is characterized by a colorful mix of self-stories and news in the fields of politics, people and sports and lively video formats.

Passengertv bringt ab heute Themen rund um die Fussball-WM in den öffentlichen Verkehr https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/passengertv-bringt-ab-heute-themen-rund-um-die-fussball-wm-in-den-offentlichen-verkehr/ Thu, June 14, 2018 11:25:08 PM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=99660 wm2018

Two wins, three losses, three draws - this is the result of the eight direct football matches between Switzerland and Brazil. From today, Passengertv will be showing this and other information about the World Cup on screens in streetcars, buses and commuter trains. Passengertv deliberately wants to strengthen the playful elements of the program in leisure travel, the company explains in a press release. This is part of a targeted strategy.

"Our experience with screens on public transport shows how much interest there is in informative content," says Olivier Chuard, CEO of Livesystems DOOH. Passengertv is therefore optimizing its program and gearing it towards the general thirst for knowledge and the need for entertainment, especially at weekends. "We are thus meeting a need in leisure travel," says Chuard. The content is produced by the internal editorial team at Nau.

The 19 bus routes of RBS and BSU, which carry around 14 million passengers in the greater Bern-Solothurn area, have been using Passengertv since 2013. The contracts between RBS/BSU and Livesystems, the operator of the Passengertv screens, have just been extended for a further period.

All 14 new Stadlerrail trains are to replace the "Mandarinli" on the S9 (Unterzollikofen) and Worblental line S7 by 2020. These two lines serve the busiest rail routes in the canton of Bern. The Passengertv program comes from Nau.ch, the new online platform from Livesystems, which focuses specifically on local news for the screens. RBS has closely involved the population of the Worblental in the procurement process from the outset. This close cooperation with a focus on local news will also be continued in subsequent operations.

Gasstationtv baut Netz mit 144 Tamoil-Tankstellen weiter aus https://www.markt-kom.com/en/markom/gasstationtv-baut-netz-mit-144-tamoil-tankstellen-weiter-aus/ Thu, Oct 26, 2017 3:15:31 PM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=92856 2017_10_26_gasstationtv-bei-tamoil

The equipment of 144 Tamoil service stations with Gasstationtv screens is scheduled for completion by mid-2018. The screens will broadcast an attractive news program, current traffic and congestion reports, and other useful or entertaining content in technically high-resolution quality. In German-speaking Switzerland, the news program comes from the new Online news platform Nau (Advertising Week reported) In French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino by the local publishing houses.

"A win-win situation"

"We want to offer our customers a pleasant welcome in every respect," says Hans Boesch, Director of Retail Network at Tamoil: "Today, this includes not only a modern infrastructure but also up-to-the-minute news and good entertainment while refueling."

At the same time, the screens give service station stores, restaurants and services a prominent platform to present their services. "Win-win," comments Boesch. With the parent company of Gasstationtv and "Nau", Livesystems, Tamoil also has a reliable and technically experienced provider with a partnership approach.

New service convinces service station operators

With Tamoil, Gasstationtv has already been able to convince the fourth mineral oil company within ten months. In January of this year, Gasstationtv started with Migrol, and in the summer it was joined by Avia member Grisard in the Basel region and the eastern Swiss representative of the Landi network with the Agrola brand.

According to the principle of "everything from a single source", Livesystems, the parent company of Gasstationtv, offers not only the news content of "Nau", but also the technical and advertising support of the screens. Together with its sister product Passengertv in public transport, Gasstationtv now reaches a mobile and interested 1.6 million population segment every day thanks to the new partnership with Tamoil.

This is an extremely attractive advertising platform, in whose advertising francs the service station operators have a share and which, according to Simon Jossi of Migrol, "is marketed very actively."

Redaktion von Nau produziert online und für öffentliche Bildschirme https://www.markt-kom.com/en/medien/redaktion-von-nau-produziert-online-und-fur-offentliche-bildschirme/ Wed, Oct 18, 2017 4:57:01 PM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=92601 2017_10_19_nau_magicmoment

Around 45 newly recruited editors work for Nau. They want to convey what is happening on the ground, live and digitally. "Now eben," says CEO Yves Kilchenmann to the sda news agency.

Much local

A great deal of emphasis is placed on the local: almost a third of the team are reporters. They report in text and moving images from the German-speaking regions of Switzerland.

In addition to an online platform, Nau Media produces its own news for the passenger information system Passengertv, which has been in operation for several years, as well as - for gas stations - the gas pump TV Gasstationtv. The screens belong to Livesystems, Nau's parent company.

The new editorial offering is financed by advertising. A quarter of airtime is reserved for advertising, Kilchenmann says. "Well-crafted information tailored to the local audience will ensure that the screens catch the eye."

The makers of Nau are also companions: municipalities, associations or private individuals are to be able to place their own reports on the screens as "nautors". "We have the ambition that location-based production will take place," says the CEO.

"Hyperlocal" is the motto, he says: Anyone just passing through a village on the bus is interested in a new traffic circle or news from local associations. Anyone who wants background information or additional reports to accompany the few sentences on the screens can access the online platform nau.ch.

Mainly for commuters

"Ninety percent of our work is for commuters," Kilchenmann says. Passengertv's screens hang primarily in vehicles of transportation companies operating in regions and cities. Specially tailored information is created for transportation companies that are often used by tourists, according to Kilchenmann.

The screens also generate revenue for transport companies and service station operators. They receive a share of the advertising revenue and can provide their own information to the public - for example, on the timetable, traffic jams or the passability of Alpine passes.

Nationwide, the screens of passengertv and gasstationtv have around 1.5 million readers. At Passengertv, more than 1.3 million readers are WEMF-certified.

The screens from Livesystems hang in vehicles of more than 50 larger and smaller transport companies and - since the beginning of the year - at about 150 to 200 gas stations, as Kilchenmann explains. Four gas station chains offer pump TV.

Livesystems has been offering passenger television for public transport users since 2008. Until now, the information has been produced in collaboration with newspaper and online editorial teams. In German-speaking Switzerland, this collaboration will be continued, as the Nau editorial team cannot handle this task alone.

Own reports

The new media house also relies on its own reports. According to Kilchenmann, it also sources reports from the SDA news agency.

In French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, local media houses continue to provide coverage for the screens. For the time being, Nau's editorial team is concentrating on German-speaking Switzerland. "If the new project proves successful, we could conceivably offer it in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino as well," says Kilchenmann.

The editor-in-chief of Nau Media is Micha Zbinden. In addition to Nau Media, Livesystems Holding, which is wholly Swiss-owned, also owns Livesystems Dooh, with its information screens in public transport and at gas stations, and Livesystems, which is responsible for serving advertising customers. Passenger TV: Nachrichtenportal Nau geht vor Ende Oktober online https://www.markt-kom.com/en/medien/passenger-tv-nachrichtenportal-nau-geht-vor-ende-oktober-online/ Fri, Oct 13, 2017 3:55:47 PM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/?p=92410 unbenannt-1

"Almost a third of our 45-strong editorial team consists of flying reporters in six regions," says Nau editor-in-chief Micha Zbinden, former deputy head of sports at the Blick Group. In addition to Zurich, the regional teams are stationed directly on location in Bern, Basel, Frauenfeld, Lucerne and St. Gallen. The Graubünden editorial team will start in 2018. Zbinden: "Nau does the opposite of centralizing".

The average age of the editorial team is 29. Head of politics and deputy editor-in-chief Christof Vuille is 29, Zurich team leader Céline Brunner is 27, and Basel team leader Fabio Back is even only 21. "We consciously also rely on talented young journalists and give them responsibility. It's important to us that all Nau journalists are digital," says Zbinden.

In focus: The digital person with regional roots

Passenger TV intends to use its own content editorial team (Advertising week reported) will go online before the end of October. At the same time, Nau will provide the existing audience of screens in streetcars, buses and trains with news of a high quality standard. Livesystems, the parent company of Nau, operates with Passengertv the screens of about 50 public transport companies and with Gasstationtv the screens at gas stations and has a daily audience of 1.5 million people throughout Switzerland.

Nau as the media house of the future

Over the last ten years, the screen network in public transport and at service stations has been built up by the Bern-based company Livesystems in such a way that today each individual region can be covered with specific content. This applies to editorial content as well as advertising. "Nau can report in a locally differentiated way along the travel chain," says Nau Media CEO Yves Kilchenmann, "It's the medium of the mobile and digital generation."

In addition to the online and DooH platforms, an experienced 30-strong sales team is bundled under the Livesystems umbrella, which has been marketing Passengertv and Gasstationtv very successfully since the very beginning. Advertising customers throughout Switzerland can now choose from a massively broader and highly regarded range of products to put together solutions tailored to their specific needs.
