The Basel-based communications agency bom! has developed the corporate identity for the Canton of Basel-Stadt’s new climate development program, Klimpact. According to the agency, the result is a colorful, playful visual identity designed to convey complex climate issues in a simple and understandable way, spark curiosity, and encourage participation.

Klicmpact Corporate Identity: Lightness Instead of Sacrifice

According to the press release, anyone who wants to inspire people with new ideas and motivate them to take action must address them in a positive way. This is particularly crucial when it comes to climate communication. Instead of lecturing or using abstract messages, bom! focuses on lightheartedness, humor, and direct, understandable language as part of Klimpact’s identity. The focus is not on problems and sacrifice, but on the opportunities to make everyday life more climate-friendly.

«Through intensive discussions with the project managers, we delved into the subject matter and developed the communication strategy. The challenge was to remain scientifically precise while at the same time communicating in a lighthearted, understandable, and engaging way,» explains Maja Hartmann, Creative Director at bom! communication.

Collages Related to Basel

At the heart of the corporate identity are collages that combine people, everyday objects, and surprising elements. The visual style is colorful, vibrant, and full of details waiting to be discovered. Basel is present in every collage—sometimes obvious, sometimes only apparent at second glance. Klimpact is not meant to remain abstract, but rather to be anchored in the everyday lives of Basel’s residents.

Cardboard displays, stickers, and postcards

The playful design runs through all communication channels. For the launch event on October 12, 2026, bom! developed, among other things, large-format cardboard displays and stickers that bring the visual world to life in a three-dimensional way.

To ensure that Klimpact remains visible beyond the event, sticker postcards will be distributed throughout the city via the Kulturbox. The campaign will be rolled out in phases. Additional measures, including social media posts and videos, will follow to raise Klimpact’s profile across various channels.

Ideas for a More Climate-Friendly Daily Life

Klimpact is a development program run by the Climate Office of the Canton of Basel-Stadt. It supports new initiatives and solutions for a more climate-friendly everyday life. The program focuses on consumption, food, and mobility—three areas in which many of the emissions generated originate outside the canton’s borders. We are looking for ideas that make repairing and reusing easier, make sustainable eating more appealing, or simplify climate-friendly travel.

Swissolar Markenauftritt: «Selbstverständlich Solar» von Noord https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/branding/swissolar-markenauftritt-selbstverstaendlich-solar-von-noord/ Tue, 20 Oct 2026 10:03:09 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/de/?p=263331

Noord has strategically and visually repositioned Swissolar. Swissolar’s brand identity is based on the brand message «Solar—It Goes Without Saying» and a flexible design system. Both elements highlight the industry association’s expanded mission: Swissolar connects people, solar power generation, and energy storage to help shape the energy system of the future. The new identity will be unveiled on October 20, 2026, at the Swissolar Battery Congress at Trafo Baden.

Swissolar's Brand Identity: From Solar Association to System Player

Solar energy is playing an increasingly pivotal role in Switzerland’s electricity supply. As a result, storage, control, and the integration of technologies are becoming more important. This development is shaping the association’s new positioning: It is increasingly opening itself up to cross-technology approaches and stakeholders. Its focus is on a functioning energy system with a high share of solar power.

The brand message developed by Noord, «Solar—A Matter of Course,» captures this idea perfectly. It represents an industry whose solutions are intended to become an integral part of the energy supply. At the same time, it lays the groundwork for communicating the association’s goals to society at large, beyond the professional community.

A Logo as a Visual System

According to Noord, solar cells, storage systems, and people have something in common: they unleash their power through scaling, as individual elements come together to form larger systems. This principle underpins the new brand. The logo is not a symbol, but a variable system that grows from the smallest unit into a powerful whole. Its lines symbolize the interplay of the many decentralized elements that make up a resilient energy system. In this way, the design goes beyond the sun as an industry symbol and incorporates Swissolar’s expanded role.

Swissolar configures the logo via an app. Source: zvg

The logo can be customized using a specially developed app and applied with varying degrees of visual prominence: from a subtle sender identifier on business stationery to a prominent design element on posters and in digital applications. The name “Swissolar” thus becomes a defining element of the brand identity.

Purple and bright yellow, together with black and white, create a high-contrast color palette. The design system gives the association room for both factual information and expressive communication. It is intended to create brand recognition across topics and channels and to visually distinguish Swissolar from its members and the numerous providers in the industry.

From positioning to implementation

Noord is responsible for the positioning, brand message, guiding principle, and overall corporate design. The agency developed numerous digital and print applications as well as templates for the association’s day-to-day communications. Noord is responsible for the website’s art direction, while DachCom handles the technical implementation.

The first applications are already in use. The official launch of the new brand identity will take place at the Swissolar Battery Congress on October 20, 2026, at Trafo Baden.

El Tony Mate Kampagne: «Der beste Stoff der Schweiz» https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/kampagnen/el-tony-mate-kampagne-der-beste-stoff-der-schweiz/ Thu, Oct 15, 2026 2:07:34 PM +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/de/?p=263144

The El Tony Mate campaign celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Pindo plantation in Argentina is all about making a splash. Jung von Matt Limmat, in collaboration with El Tony Mate, has developed a Narcos-style campaign under the tagline «Switzerland’s best stuff—Energy you can trust.» Original images from mate production are paired with headlines that are unmistakably double-edged.

A Hundred Years of Plantation History as a Starting Point

According to the company, the highest-quality mate has been grown since 1926 at the Pindo Plantation in Argentina, founded by the Swiss Alfons Scherer. According to the press release, authentic Argentine cultivation techniques, Swiss precision, and strict quality standards form the «Reason to Believe» behind every can of El Tony. The anniversary year features two highlights: a limited-edition 100th-anniversary can and the Pindo Chronicles, a short documentary series about the plantation’s history. The series was conceived and produced by the Zoomer agency.

Alexander Bähr, Marketing Director at El Tony Mate, says: «The Swiss know what quality is, and they can taste it.» He adds that Pindo’s partners« 100 years of mate excellence provide the perfect opportunity for the company to tell the story behind it, »with pride and a touch of humor.”.

Be loud and shake things up: the El Tony Mate campaign

The goal of the anniversary campaign is to make a splash and shake things up. It combines original images from Pindo’s production facilities across TV, out-of-home (OOH), and social media with headlines that are unmistakably ambiguous. The copy and concept are designed to directly reinforce the brand promise «Energy you can trust» and build a bridge between the popular lifestyle beverage and the quality- and sustainability-conscious producer. The press release states that this play on double meanings isn’t meant to be provocative for the sake of it, but rather serves a brand that speaks as boldly as its product tastes.

Konstantin Schwone, senior copywriter at Jung von Matt Limmat, says: «It was important to us to convey El Tony’s quality in a way that is not only understood but also fun and exudes healthy self-confidence.» Thanks to a strong story and a bit of courage from everyone involved, they succeeded in doing just that.

Jung von Matt Limmat is responsible for the overarching concept, campaign design, text content, and the creation of campaign assets. The campaign has been running throughout Switzerland since October 1.

The Basel-based branding agency Suan has developed the exhibition poster and promotional materials for the Basel Historical Museum’s new special exhibition, «Nuclear Power—Your Decision.» Following their collaboration on the rebranding project, the museum has once again turned to the agency.

Basel Historical Museum: A Controversial Topic in the Spotlight

The exhibition focuses on nuclear energy, one of the most controversial topics of our time. Against the backdrop of climate change, energy supply, and social responsibility, visitors will learn about different perspectives, weigh the arguments, and form their own opinions.

Suan developed the visual communication for the exhibition, ranging from the key visual to the poster campaign, print media, and digital applications. According to the agency, the goal was to convey the theme in an eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing way, to spark curiosity, and to generate enthusiasm for the exhibition among a broad audience.

Collaboration with Suan Will Continue

Suan had already developed the exhibition communications for the Basel Historical Museum’s special exhibition «Treasure Finds—Hidden, Lost, Discovered.» In May 2026, the museum’s rebranding—developed by the agency—was also launched. The collaboration continues with «Nuclear Power—Your Decision.».

The special exhibition will be on view from October 15, 2026, through July 4, 2027, at the Barfüsserkirche in Basel.

Lukas Zihlmann presents the reputation study. Source: zvg

For the third time, swissreputation.group and pressrelations Switzerland have examined the media reputation of Swiss industrial and technology companies. The analysis covered media coverage of 65 companies from September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026. Siemens, Dormakaba, Dätwyler, and Sensirion achieved the highest reputation scores in their respective categories. According to the press release, strong overall rankings sometimes mask significant differences between individual reputation dimensions.

How the Study Measures Switzerland's Media Reputation

The analysis focused on Swiss online and print media. With the help of AI, statements relevant to reputation are identified, evaluated based on tone, and categorized into six dimensions: products and services, innovation, economic performance, management and leadership, workplace, and ESG and sustainability. The Reputation Score ranges from 0 to 100 and takes into account media presence, tone, as well as the reach and significance of the media sources. Companies are divided into four presence groups based on media reach, with each group comprising 15 to 17 companies. This classification is recalculated for each issue.

A Leader with a Strong Presence and a Pacesetter

Among the top-ranked companies, Siemens leads with 84 points and achieves the highest score in ESG and sustainability. ABB follows with 78 points, while Stadler Rail ranks third with 66 points. Stadler Rail leads in Products and Services, Innovation, and Workplace, but scores significantly lower in Management and Leadership as well as ESG. Pilatus Flugzeugwerke (56) and Logitech (51) round out the top five.

In the "Pacesetters" category, Dormakaba leads with 79 points. Hitachi Energy follows with 68 points and leads in the Workplace category. V-Zug scored 63 points and achieved the highest ESG score in the group. Huber+Suhner (61) and Georg Fischer (59) round out the top five.

Pioneers and Hidden Champions

Among the trailblazers, Dätwyler, with 79 points, is just ahead of the Bühler Group, with 78 points. Dätwyler leads in products and services, while the Bühler Group leads in management and leadership as well as workplace. Novelis follows with 67 points, Belimo with 64, and Temenos with 58 points.

Sensirion leads the Hidden Champions with 83 points, confirming its top position from the previous year. Zehnder scored 73 points, Schneider Electric 69, Liebherr 67, and Endress+Hauser 58 points.

Changes Compared to the Previous Year

Siemens has replaced Stadler Rail at the top of the “Presence Leaders” category. ABB has moved up one spot, while Pilatus Flugzeugwerke and Logitech have entered the top five. Dormakaba also leads the new comparison group following its move from the “Pioneers” to the “Pacesetters.” The number of articles on Hitachi Energy has more than tripled, and the coverage has become more positive. Coverage is also significantly more positive for ABB, Pilatus Flugzeugwerke, Dormakaba, Dätwyler, and Zehnder. Sensirion reports a much more positive tone despite the number of articles being cut in half.

Different Strengths, Different Profiles

The leading companies base their position on various dimensions; top scores in individual dimensions do not necessarily translate into an overall victory. «A good overall score is the starting point. To manage their reputation, companies need to understand which issues strengthen their reputation and where critical perceptions arise,» says Lukas Zihlmann, CEO of swissreputation.group.

Many industrial and technology companies primarily do business with other companies; the general public is largely unfamiliar with their products from personal experience. Media coverage therefore plays a key role in shaping how these companies are perceived as employers, drivers of innovation, or in terms of their social responsibility. Zihlmann: «Consistent coverage of a company’s various achievements can help build a broad reputation profile. If, on the other hand, a company is perceived almost exclusively in connection with financial results or individual controversies, its public image remains correspondingly one-sided.»

Lidl and WWF Launch New Nutrition Campaign. Source: zvg

The Lidl Switzerland campaign runs from October 12 to November 8, 2026, and is being implemented nationwide in collaboration with WWF Switzerland. Under the slogan «Faites-vous du bien,» the two partners aim to raise awareness about mindful eating. According to their own statements, they are focusing on plant-based diversity and simplicity in everyday life rather than on deprivation or moralizing. The campaign is based on the scientific Planetary Health Diet and aims to show how everyday meals can be made simple, tasty, and resource-efficient.

Lidl Switzerland Campaign: The Shopping Cart as a Lever

About one-third of global greenhouse gas emissions come from food production. According to the statement, a plant-based diet is considered a key strategy for reducing environmental impact. Plant-based meals generally require fewer resources, such as water, than animal products and result in lower CO₂ emissions.

Mariella Meyer, Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability at WWF Switzerland, says: «What we put on our plates has a major impact on our environment. Plant-based proteins are among the most effective ways to achieve a more sustainable diet. There’s no need for a radical change. Eating lentils, chickpeas, or nuts more often is a positive step for both the environment and our health.»

The Planetary Health Diet as a Scientific Foundation

The campaign is based on the EAT-Lancet Commission’s Planetary Health Diet. The concept calls for vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, and nuts to form the basis of the daily diet. Animal products play a supplementary role. While about two-thirds of the protein consumed in Switzerland currently comes from animal sources, this proportion is expected to drop to one-third in the long term.

According to the statement, a plant-based diet also offers immediate benefits for consumers: It is rich in fiber and contains fewer saturated fats.

Nadja Hauser, Head of CSR at Lidl Switzerland, explains: «With our »Faites-vous du bien’ campaign, we’re deliberately focusing on enjoyment and the pleasure of eating. Together with WWF Switzerland, we’re showing our customers how easy, delicious, and practical a balanced and varied diet can be in everyday life.”

How does a successful business idea become a professional and sustainable franchise system? And what does it take to further develop an existing franchise business? These are the questions addressed in the full-day seminar «Franchise 360°—From Concept to Successful Practice» hosted by the Swiss Franchise Association. It will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

Opportunities and Challenges in Franchising

Franchising offers opportunities for companies: successful business models can be replicated, new markets can be tapped, and strong brands can be further developed. At the same time, building a franchise system presents numerous challenges. From developing a compelling concept to positioning the brand and collaborating with franchise partners, there are many factors to consider.

Practice Over Theory at the Swiss Franchise Association

The seminar is aimed at potential and established franchise companies that wish to build, professionalize, or strategically develop their franchise systems. According to the announcement, the focus is not on theoretical concepts, but rather on concrete experiences and practical solutions that can be implemented directly within their own companies.

Participants will gain first-hand expertise and benefit from different perspectives on the topic. The goal is to identify factors for success, examine existing structures, and take away new approaches to apply in their own practice.

Questions about structure and further development

The seminar addresses questions such as: What are the prerequisites for a successful franchise system? How can a concept be built on a sustainable basis? What challenges might arise along the way, and what solutions have proven effective in practice? «Franchise 360°» brings these questions together in a one-day seminar. The focus is on direct benefits: expanding knowledge, sharing experiences, gaining new perspectives, and taking away concrete ideas for your own work.

This program is designed for anyone who wants to use franchising as a growth model or further strengthen their existing system. You can register online: www.franchiseverband.ch/de/angebot/weiterbildung/

Swissmilk Dachkampagne: Lovely erinnert die Schweiz https://www.markt-kom.com/en/kreativity/kampagnen/swissmilk-dachkampagne-lovely-erinnert-die-schweiz/ Thu, 08 Oct 2026 08:02:47 +0000 https://www.markt-kom.com/de/?p=262718

Swissmilk is launching its first nationwide umbrella campaign for Swiss milk and dairy products in collaboration with the Family agency. At the heart of the campaign is the «Lovely Reminder»: Switzerland’s most famous advertising cow gently but unmistakably reminds the public of the benefits of Swiss milk and dairy products. These include health, sustainability, and enjoyment.

Swissmilk Umbrella Campaign: Lovely in Everyday Life

The «Lovely Reminder» serves as the campaign’s unifying theme. Lovely makes surprise appearances in everyday situations where no one expects to see a dairy cow. With her unmistakable gaze, she is meant to remind us that Swiss milk and dairy products are a healthy, sustainable, and delicious choice.

At the heart of the campaign are five 20-second films, each highlighting one of the key benefits. These were expanded into two additional 30-second films and one 75-second film, which connect the five stories in different ways. Complementing this is a national campaign featuring six (D)OOH creatives. In these as well, Lovely highlights the benefits, packaged in entertaining headlines with a touch of humor.

Lovely was created entirely digitally

For the campaign, Lovely was created entirely digitally using CGI technology. According to the press release, the key factor was the high level of detail and consistency required—from fur texture and body structure to facial expressions. These could not be reliably achieved using AI solutions. A real Swiss Holstein cow—which had previously been named the most beautiful of its kind—served as the model. Based on this, Lovely was digitally recreated, right down to her characteristic, dreamy gaze.

The Reminder continues online

On the campaign landing page www.swissmilk.ch/de/lovely-reminder/ The «Lovely Reminder» feature will continue. Users will receive in-depth information about the individual benefits there, integrated into the same reminder mechanism.

The campaign has been on air since October 5, 2026, and is being rolled out across all language regions of Switzerland via TV, online, social media, CTV, DOOH, and OOH, including mega-posters. Media strategy and planning were handled by CERES Media. The mix of TV, (D)OOH, and online video is designed to achieve maximum awareness. Thanks to context- and location-specific placement of the ads, Lovely is set to appear where people least expect to see a cow.

DACHCOM Selva Futura is a new brand project designed to strengthen the forestry and timber industry in Graubünden and Eastern Switzerland over the long term. DACHCOM developed the naming, branding, communications, and website for the Selva Futura SME initiative.

Selva Futura aims to establish a regional wood value chain that is as integrated as possible—from the forest to innovative wood products. Behind this flagship initiative are stakeholders from business, research, and politics who are working together to develop new approaches to the processing and use of wood as a regional raw material. According to the press release, the goal is to create a model whose influence extends beyond the region.

DACHCOM Develops the Selva Futura Brand

DACHCOM supported the initiative from the very beginning and worked with the core team to develop the Selva Futura brand. This included, among other things, naming, communication positioning, and corporate design, as well as initial communication efforts, the conceptual design and UX/UI design of the website, and its technical implementation.

The name Selva Futura connects the forest—as the source of the raw material wood—with a clear vision for the future. The minimalist logo captures this idea: It evokes wood and wooden building elements, while also revealing the silhouette of a tree, and symbolizes the interplay of different forces. Together with the typography, imagery, and color palette, a corporate design was created that combines regional roots with a sense of new beginnings and is intended to give Selva Futura high brand recognition across all touchpoints.

Website as a Central Platform

DACHCOM designed and developed the website selva-futura.ch as a central digital platform. It communicates the initiative’s vision and objectives, presents its projects, network, and supporting organizations, and explains the regional wood value chain. At the same time, the site is designed to grow as new projects and events are added.

The Future Forum as the First Event

One of the first applications of the new brand identity is the communications campaign for the «Zukunftsforum Wald & Holz» (Forest & Wood Future Forum), which will take place on October 30, 2026, in Savognin. DACHCOM developed the invitation and other communications materials for the event. During the event, the Selva Futura initiative will be presented in full for the first time and discussed extensively with stakeholders from the forestry and timber industries, research, politics, and other fields.

The Future Forum thus also serves as the first public appearance of the newly created brand: It brings together the various stakeholders, communicates the idea behind Selva Futura, and creates a platform for further discussion about the future of the forestry and timber industry in the region.

Nussbaum, the market leader in circulation valves, is launching a new valve. According to the company, it exceeds relevant standards and sets new benchmarks in hot water circulation. With the new Nussbaum circulation valve, the company is also launching a series of explanatory videos featuring the character Norman, a plumber who knows the standards—and takes them quite personally.

Four Episodes, One Stance

In four videos, Norman walks viewers through the key benefits of the new circulation valve. With dry humor and plenty of confidence, he explains how the valve improves energy efficiency, automatically and precisely regulates water flow, simplifies commissioning, and helps ensure a hygienically sound drinking water system.

Expertise with a Unique Voice

The idea behind it: To make technically complex content accessible without sacrificing technical expertise. Instead of explaining the product in the traditional way by focusing on individual features, Nussbaum gives the topics a voice of their own—and, with Norman, brings in a highly outspoken expert to the mix.

The campaign is aimed at professional designers and plumbing contractors and consists of several explanatory videos, various other online promotional materials, and a flyer that highlights planning reliability, energy efficiency, comfort, and ease of installation and commissioning.
