After almost ten years on the market, the Swiss refresher drink based on crisp green grapes and fresh spring water has been able to establish itself throughout Switzerland - especially in the top Swiss gastronomy and gourmet scene.
As part of the redesign, Vertschi was visually refreshed in several phases. The rebranding was comprehensive - from brand presence to website and webshop, newsletter, social media, packaging and bottle design. The previously rather down-to-earth appearance was replaced by a clear and striking presence in a fresh minimalist design. The result is a "crisp, new look that melts in the mouth just like the fresh, cheerful beverage itself" is how Megura, the agency from Baden that carried out the project, describes the new look.
The new brand identity is accompanied by a comprehensive communications concept and a new social media concept. The claim "Mais bien suur" was also developed as a brand addition to emphasize the full and valuable acidity of the beverage. The website and web store are based on the purist new bottle design and come across as fresh and sophisticated.
The new look is intended to underscore the value of the brand and convey to customers what Vertschi stands for as soon as they see it: "Sparkling pleasure without alcohol in the highest premium quality from Switzerland."

In a multi-stage branding and design process, the various construction sites gradually became visible: logo, design, photo style, visual language, tonality as well as information architecture and user experience of the website. The starting point for the brand refresh was the existing positioning "Birchmeier inspires". The appearance was refreshed in several phases, from the "B" in the logo to the corporate design and the website.
The previously rather down-to-earth and functional appearance was replaced. Instead, a light and reduced design, a direct and simple tonality as well as an authentic and sympathetic imagery are captivating.
The positioning "Birchmeier inspires" is thus to be given a new, contemporary and authentic face. The structuring of the website is kept simple, is consistently oriented towards the needs of the target groups and offers the company a practicable modular system for further expansion.

The age-related resignation of a member of the management team had forced Schneider Spannagel Architekten to take a close look at the company's name and image. This ultimately led to a complete rebranding, which was carried out in collaboration with Megura.
How about a new name?
It all started with the simple question of a new name, which set one stone after another rolling. The foundations were first laid in a brand workshop: Values were captured, visions sharpened and the brand core defined. The name Lumo, which is based on this, stands for the adjectives light, uncomplicated, modern, open and is intended to reflect the values and working methods of the office as well as the architectural style of the realized buildings. On this basis, the new corporate identity was finally developed.
A movable logo
With the developed basis the consequent reorganization of the company succeeded: from the down-to-earth appearing architecture office Schneider Spannagel to the contemporary-agile studio named Lumo Architekten - with new name and logo included. Website, stationery, signage and everything that goes with it. Incidentally, the new company's lightness and love of experimentation is also evident in digital media in a subtly playful way: The reduced logo allows the distinctive four letters to be moved around in space, creating ever new combinations.

The measures taken to cope with the Corona crisis have also left their mark on the Zurzibiet. Restrictions and losses on the one hand - waves of solidarity and support from local businesses on the other. Now that everyday life is back and the borders are open, the Zurzibiet region wants to motivate in the most sympathetic way possible to continue to consider and strengthen regional businesses.
At the center of the Campaign stands for what makes regional trade unique: the personal contact, the uncomplicated exchange, the human connection, the casual saying. And so a headline campaign was created around the sympathy bonus of regional trade. With friendliness that you usually only hear from local businesses.
The publication took place in a large-scale F12 poster campaign in combination with advertisements in various newspapers, on small posters and also social media posts.

This September, the Industriewelt Aargau association officially launched the "#ZeitsprungIndustrie" theme year. More than 100 events organized by partners such as ABB Technikerschule, Stadtmuseum Aarau and SBB Historic are intended to provide a platform for regional industrial history and current visions of the future.
The branding of the campaign was also very much in line with the development: In the dynamic corporate design, Megura reflects the ongoing upswing of industry and business. Metallic colors are intended to evoke raw materials from manufactories and promote recognition on any medium.
The new corporate design of "#ZeitsprungIndustrie" can be applied to various means of communication and by a wide variety of users. Thus, the 40 sponsors from industry, education, culture and tourism use the current appearance independently on posters, websites, flyers and social media.
In the process, the design of "#ZeitsprungIndustrie" also had to match all the time shots of the past years. And it will continue to do so in the future: an expansion of the campaign to other Swiss regions is conceivable.

Responsible at Megura: Fabrice Widmer (project management, concept, design); Vanessa Funk (graphics); Fabian Bosshard (graphics); Christian Studer (web development).
The fifteen-strong Aargau agency with a focus on SMEs has been around for around 16 years. Their motto: "Those who rest on their laurels are wearing them in the wrong place". That is why the agency itself has decided to move from Wettingen to the center of the neighboring town of Baden. In the new studio space, the employees want to get creative with customers and uncover dormant potential.
In addition, the agency has also expanded its range of services with branding and positioning workshops, where clients can find fresh ideas in the future.
The basis remains the same: All kinds of advertising campaigns and measures, websites and online projects are also designed and realized from Baden - the latter also with in-house developers.

Following the opening of the new printing center in Kleindöttingen, Effingermedien presents itself in a new look. According to Managing Director Cédric Kaiser, the Aargau publishing and printing company with its approximately 100 employees is thus taking another important step towards the future. Whether with the acquisition of Binkert Buag from Laufenburg or the opening of the new printing center in Kleindöttingen: Effingermedien has been focusing entirely on its further development for the past three years. This spring, the renowned media company with locations in Brugg and Kleindöttigen reached the next milestone - with a complete redesign and an authentic image campaign by the advertising agency Megura. "It was time to make the internal changes visible to our clientele as well," explains Managing Director Cédric Kaiser.
The subjects deliberately feature employees of the media company. In combination with cheeky headlines, these are intended to make people smile - but not only. The company is thus demonstrating its healthy self-confidence and has secured the presence and attention it needs in the industry.
Responsible at Effingermedien: Cédric Kaiser (Managing Director) and Ronald Stark (Sales & Marketing). Responsible at Megura: René Utiger (project management & consulting), Fabrice Widmer (concept, design & photography), Maja Reznicek (concept & text).
The advertising agency Megura has created a print and online campaign that focuses on the advantages of the Zurzi region. Managing Director René Utiger explains: "Switzerland offers a lot of attractive living space. It is therefore essential to distinguish ourselves from other regions".
This is why the agency's bilingual campaign is based on a mixture of personal experiences and clear facts. This overall concept developed by Megura was implemented in text, images and film: Two brochures and a landing page for companies and private individuals show the advantages of the region as a place to live and research. In addition, entrepreneurs, residents and researchers such as the CEO of Park Innovaare and a scientist from the Paul Scherrer Institute have their say in short films.

However, the focus of location marketing is not only on the advantages of the region, but also on the idea of networking. "Networked thinking and action creates the basis for research success in the Zurz region. Our project should reflect this interconnectedness." This is why the offline and online marketing measures build on each other: Text, images and film complement each other to create a uniform campaign that presents the Zurzibiet region from all sides.
Embedded in the tranquility and idyllic landscape, everyday terms with a majority of negative connotations suddenly take on a positive meaning. Here, no one is in a hurry, here people don't get lost in the virtual world, and here no one burns out. Despite a central location, this young community in Aargau is often somewhat forgotten. That's why the Megura agency was commissioned by the municipal council to design a holistic location marketing campaign. The task of the advertisers from Wettingen was clear: to promote awareness of the Mettau Valley and to emphasize its rural character without appearing staid.
The three subjects designed by Megura reflect the qualities of the Mettau Valley with a slight wink. A gentle social criticism is intended to provoke thought.
The campaign consists of posters, advertisements, transport advertising and postcards. In addition, Megura has completely redesigned the corporate identity and created a new website with people, property and news management.
